I play offline and I been ranking up pretty well from forge and campaign but I know the ranks go way up there so my question is since I’m offline what the highest rank I can get without updating the game
In theory, you could reach Inheritor.
It used to be Lt. Colonel, but unless they’ve lifted the offline ranking parameters, you should just be able to keep going.

I started playing reach the day it came out and for 8 and a half years I played it on a offline profile that never had live on my 360. This year I got live, and it asked me a misleading question and I ended up deleting my offline profile. I thought it was asking me which profile do you want to conjoin but I deleted it. I tried putting all my achievements and stuff into cloud storage hoping it would carry over to my Xbox one but when I opened reach on my Xbox one it said “do you want to forfeit 2,897,975 credits or start over as a new spartan” so I did forfeit the credits and it made me completely restart. Does anyone know anyway I can that I can get my spartan back and onto my Xbox one? My offline profile name was STAUSS. I was a general grade 3 and now it seems to be even harder to get credits with live.

It only resets if you never had your account online before. I started my account online and then didn’t have internet for over a year until just recently. My progress didn’t reset/revert at all. The only thing that happened is the amount of cR I earned from doing stuff was greatly reduced while offline. Like I could play 2-3 hours of Firefight on Legendary and all skulls on and would only earn like 200-300 cR.

No problem, you are welcome. But yea, you can still reach the max Inheritor rank offline, but it will take way longer. One of your best bets for ranking up is doing the Daily/Weekly Challenges and you don’t even have access to them offline. And for some reason, being offline cuts the normal amount of gained cR. Another good wait to earn cR while doing challenges is to do Firefight and Campaign on Legendary with skull multipliers on. But if you are offline, you will only earn a fraction of that.

It’s true that you get about 300 cR max (I get 312 cR although my son using a non-Xbox Live profile gets 3000+ cR for doing the exact same things and he’s Brigadier Grade 2) for offline Firefight and Campaign, you can get that amount after about only 10 minutes of game time. Experiment with the minimum time it takes to get awarded the 300 cR.
The OP didn’t say if he’s using a non-Xbox Live profile or if he just doesn’t have a Gold account but there’s a free play weekend this month 10/27-10/30 so there’s a great opportunity to rake in the multiplayer credits over 4 days.
EDIT: There is no free play weekend this month. For some reason, Xbox Live recently sent me a message for the 10/27/2016 free play weekend and I thought it was for this year. And this is right after experiencing the Microsoft Rewards’ debacle of the buggy Points Crusader game earlier this month. Microsoft: still unbelievably sloppy after all these years.
I recommend playing gruntpocalypse matchmaking if you want to rank up fast, it’s hella fun and gets you a lot of credits.

Gruntpocalypse is what I’m going to use to get to inheritor and get the skull helmet before I grow too old to play Reach. Definitely the best way to get a better rank
I’m offline only no WiFi to play online and I been getting around 1450 credits from just forge a lone I just leave it on a forge map that I built on while I go to bed by the time I get up I’ll have 1450 credits every time I was just wanting to know if there a faster way to get a lot of credits and rank up
