Hi I’m having trouble with regaining some progress I’ve made over Halo Reach. I haven’t used this Microsoft account for a while after I’ve gotten rid of my Xbox 36. After getting Reach for Xbox One, I didn’t want to start all over again. So I checked on this account and I’m back all the way from Commander Grade 1 to Warrant Officer. Including this my Xbox account seems to missing some things as well. Please help, I’ve lost a lot of progress and it’s really hard to get back up with all my armory purchases.
Or maybe it was a different account yet I can’t access those. Is there anyway to get my armory purchases back?

Good evening.
Did you get to Commander Grade One offline, then log onto Halo: Reach for the first time online on LIVE? If so, nothing wrong happened. Bungie put a protective code in the game that when a player logs onto LIVE for the first time on Halo: Reach, a lot of cR and rank are taken from the player as a way of balancing. This balancing code was put in place to prevent people from using ill-legit methods to become Inheritor offline and then log online to save the Inheritor status.
Simply put, play Halo: Reach online now that you have logged online. Firefight Arcade and Grifball (Play legitimately mind you) are potentially the easiest way to earn cR in Reach and quickly rise in the ranks. Combine that with Daily challenges and you can rack up some serious cR and get back to your Commander rank rather quickly.
Hope this helps and have a nice day now.

I always had online on and had a Gold Membership while playing Reach, weird. Though I guess I can just play a lot more Grifball and Firefight. Thanks for the help though

Looking through your game history, it strongly suggests that you may have been on Xbox LIVE, but you didn’t log into Reach LIVE matchmaking for the first time until recently. Every game I see is custom, and at first, I thought I seen one game for Slayer for Matchmaking, but it had an ending score of 60, which clearly shown that was custom too. The maximum kills that can be achieved to win a game in matchmaking for Slayer is 53, and that seldomly happens(Getting an Overkill when your team’s score is 49)
So, you must’ve went to online Matchmaking instead of custom games or Forge for the first time, and you may have clicked through a message that popped up to deduct cR (and rank) or appear as a default Spartan on Matchmaking. That would explain the derank and you not seeing the message. The only other way you would’ve been deranked would be for using network manipulation to reset challenges, in which the automated banhammer system would’ve detected this and redacted the extra cR you essentially didn’t earn and deranked you where you should be. I wouldn’t say that in your case, because your game history points to the first scenario above.
