Hello lads and lassies,
I have always wanted to get into editing video and audio, I love being creative, and so, I have started recording and uploading my Halo: Reach playthrough onto Youtube in the hopes to do an entire franchise playthrough on PC. It is just for fun and to build my experience with editing software as well as youtube but I would really love some feedback. I have uploaded 6 videos so far and have made some changes through each one as I progress and get more accustomed to the software. I have also added a wee intro in my latest upload.
Could someone check out my videos and give me some feeback on what you think I should do differently please? Here is my first and also my most recent videos:

Hey man, I watch through episode 1 then episode 6, and I can’t say that there’s anything to improve besides being wary of the chain reactions grenades can have and making your mic a tad louder cause I’m listening at the normal audio I hear the other streamers watch at and your words are kinda slurry. Not to be hurtful or anything, I just wanna point those two out but the sliding effects were good actually. I wasn’t able to watch the rest of the series cause reach gives me a bit of a headache thanks to the motion blur. but yeah, keep at it mate its looking good so far.

Thank you very much! Yeah… those grenades… after a long time out I forget about teh little things xD I see, perhaps I need to work on my annunciation, my accent doesn’t help, I keep that in mind!
I am never sure about how loud to make the mic, It always feels a bit noisy to me, perhaps it comes out differently on other devices from my own? or perhaps I should compress it more to make it more consistent?

Video quality is great, but there’s a lot of dead air. You’re also really quiet, it sounds like you’re whispering.
I can say from experience that it gets easier the more you do it, so just keep recording, keep practicing filling dead air, and eventually you’ll get the hang of it.
The visuals are impressive, especially in the beginning of part 7 (I’m not sure if it’s in the other parts, but I saw it in part 7).
There’s a huge difference in audio quality from parts 1 and 7. 7 definitely sounds better, but you still sound like you’re whispering.
Just to echo what others have said, visuals are great. The Microphone could do with some tweaking as you’re either really loud or quiet and generally hard to hear.

On the audio side, I’ve been tweaking with it as I am new to audio editing and recording too and I will keep working on it!
I have the fear that I may overpower the game with my mic audio at somepoints, I will try to normalize the audio to be a constant volume from my mic

Thanks! I have been trying to speak a little more clearly than I normally would (I am generally hard to hear, I think) and I am also trying to find a sweet spot in the mic setup but it it is quite difficult… I am quite new to audio recording adn editing so I will do my best to improve in teh future!
