Halo 5 is better just because of all the updates that will be coming.

Halo 5 would been so much better if we could change stuff like shoulders etc

Oh how ignorant you are. I started with Halo 3 on my own console, but halo CE and 2 long before with friends. Now I loved 3, but I preferred Halo Reach. Does that make me a terrible person? No. Does that make Reach better than 3? Also no.
Also, reality of it is, that NO ONE is talking about, is that if you’re better at one of the games, you’re more likely to enjoy it.
i loved Halo 3. And I was good, at it. Like, REALLY good. But I was even BETTER at halo Reach. And therefore, I enjoyed reach more. I had figured out all the crouch jumping and whatnot (which most halo 5 fans won’t know about – because of clamber), around the end of halo 3’s lifespan. But I joined halo reach from the beginning, already knowing what I learned from 3. Furthermore, I was quickly able to adjust to halo Reach (having an open mind towards the game definitely helped, mind you) and therefore, I enjoyed the game more.
Things I enjoyed about any game before halo 4.
bigger maps.
Weapon control (i.e., map control)
objective game types.
Better vehicles (don’t try to tell me halo 5 vehicles are good… Don’t.) refer back to bigger and better maps for vehicles.
and plenty more, but we’ve seen plenty of forums about those items.
Frankly, I saw those things in Halo Reach as well. And that is also why I preferred it.

I did love Reach but I have to say, for me, Halo 5 is by far the better game, and I believe I’m one of the few that loved the campaigns for both too. And btw I own every piece of Halo media (apart from whichever Escalation comics have out since Volume 3) so please try not to call me casual, I just really like where Halo is going at the minute.
Edit - its worth mentioning as someone has before, I think all the Halo games are fantastic so its hard the rank them, the series as a whole is amazing

I’ll play reach again for the campaign but i doubt i will play MP on it.
I preferred Reach for some reason, it may have had something to do with the characters, level and multiplayer map designs or the armor variants. Not to mention that epic file browser and features that were available day 1

Its pretty obvious that halo reach is the better game, but I will probably still play halo 5 more because new stuff is coming out

Personally, I loved halo reach and its a great game. But, that doesn’t mean I prefer it over halo 5. There is a lack of forge tools in the new forge? first of all, grouping. Second, how would you know when cartographers gift isn’t even out? I have a feeling halo 5’s forge will be the best. As great swords come from a greater blacksmith, great maps will come from a greater forge.

Then there are others saying that reach is better because of its searching and file sharing system for game modes and maps, let me tell you a little secret: THATS COMING TO HALO 5, ALONG WITH FORGE IN CARTOGRAPHERS GIFT. And then there is the people who like reach more because of its game modes, and halo 5’s lack of them. let me tell you another secret: HALO 5 GETS UPDATES WITH MORE GAME MODES, REACH HAD TO DO THE SAME THING. Saying reach is better is like insulting a baby and saying a middle aged dude is so much better than it because he can do more things. Halo 5 is still new, don’t try to adapt to it, let it adapt to you (aka the community) that’s what 343 is trying to do, make a game and make it the best, by using our opinions. Moving to an old game just means your one less person their taking an opinion from. Have fun playing reach, I’m going to actually play my part in the community and be on halo 5.
Everyone forgets that infection didn’t come to halo reach matchmaking until like May 2011, more than half a year after release.
And I mean alpha zombies. Because rolling zombies was trash (and still is).
I’m done with reach’s lag and bs and I grinded that game so hard (126 days of playtime) so I’m staying on halo 5
