Halo Reach or Halo 5

I miss the variety of reach most important population counter.

I like Halo 4 the best out of them all… I honestly had so many good memories with that game lol.

> Curse Reach and its strange additions to the gameplay all you want but it was a true Halo game. From the moment you booted it up it felt like a Halo game and it played well. Multiplayer wise there was never a dull moment you could play hours upon hours of matches and never get bored as you know you would see something new, every match seemed to tell a story on its own and was so much fun. Halo 5 is by no means in the same league as the previous entries, it is its own creation with its own identity but a Halo game it is not.

Your an idiot or just plain nuts if you think reach feels like a halo game and 5 doesn’t. Go back and play halo 1, 2, and 3 then come back and beg forgiveness when you realise how wrong you actually where. That Israel.

Halo hasn’t been truly competitive since Halo 3. Sure Reach’s ranking system was casual but when Halo 5’s ranking system doesn’t even work, you can’t really say it’s more competitive than Reach especially when i’m Platinum in most playlists but get teamed with/against silver and gold players.

You can’t be very good then, it works off of an elo system; long story short you can still have the same elo as someone in a lower division than you. I’m plat 2 after 30 odd matches and I’m matching plat 5 to diamond 6 players on both teams every single match. Don’t Diss something because you don’t understand it.

Halo: Reach at 60fps with Halo 5’s customization

> Thats the game that started the downward spiral for the community. It caused confusion of what Halo was and is. I enjoy Reach to an extent but it had loads of issues. It was a Halo that the majority of the community hated. Sorry for the reality check.
> I know Halo 5 isn’t perfect but it has the potential to be one of the best Halo’s there is.

In my own opinion, I called Reach home for a while. But now that 5 is here, I feel like I can respectfully say goodbye to the 360, but as I hear that Reach will be BC, maybe I don’t need to say goodbye to Reach. In my opinion, I feel that Reach and 5 are equal with their own advantages and disadvantages. Reach had armor abilities, 5 has ground pound. The list of all the good stuff and bad can go on for each, but I think they’re equal in my eyes. Don’t hate me for what I say.

Probably not 5’s armor system, just 60 fps. Then it would be authentic.

I’m not sure why there is so much hate for both Halo Reach and Halo 5. Most of what I have been reading on this forum is personal opinions about each game. I am one of the few on here that personally loved Reach and to me it’s one of my favorite Halos to play. I love the campaign, the firefight and multiplayer a lot. I have been playing the game since it came out back in 2010 and I still to this day love it as much now as I did then. I’ve had a lot of memorable experiences with my brother and close friends playing Reach as well as Halos CE-3. I am excited to have the game launch for the Xbox One whenever the time comes.

I personally love both games, just something about the franchise as whole.

Halo 5: Multiplayer
Halo Reach: Machinima and Customs with friends

Could change soon, who knows with forge around the corner!

===================================
Fast REQ points and easy wins in Warzone!

Halo: Reach is still the best Halo game of all time in my book. Sure, multiplayer had it’s problems with Armor Lock and whatnot… but it was still a great all-around with something for everyone. Campaign, Firefight, Multiplayer, Forge, and the shear number of customization options across all these game modes… it puts Halo 5 to shame.

Halo 5: Guardians doesn’t even have half the game modes Reach had, it has absolutely nothing in the place of Firefight (Warzone being more PvP than PvE), and Forge hasn’t even been added to the game yet. Only good thing this game has added to Halo so far is Spartan Abilities.

I prefer Reach in my opinion

Reach for the fun and large amount of content (playlists, forge, firefight, etc.)

5 for the competitive play and mechanics. The gameplay of 5 just feels so polished. Brought back that Halo 3 itch for me.

I think once we get this December update I will be enjoying 5 much more than I ever did Reach.

Reach.

Great maps, diverse playlists, kept the customization that Halo 3 gave us (even adding to it), fantastic story, progressive rank system.

Halo 5 to me is not good, in fact the name of Halo 5 should be “Call of Halo” because it is exactly like the arcade shooter of CoD. I can’t adapt to this at all and doesn’t feel like any of the other Halo games. The aiming is atrocious and the smart link scoping is just dumb. I don’t like the iron sight look smart link as this is 2558 or so and it messes up my shots. My KD in this game is garbage and I don’t feel the awesome feeling 343 wanted me to feel when I have guys spawning behind me while I’m in a building with 400 doors and windows. “I thought they said they were fixing spawning to where you wouldn’t spawn in front of the enemy?” I personally don’t even know what the deal is with the maps. All the other Halo games had some sort of origin or reason the map is what it is. Namely a lot of the maps were old forerunner structures that had a meaning. The maps now have no meaning and are littered with more clutter than ever before which leaves me wonder why anyone militarily would leave any of the clutter sit around. The health/armor you have is very low compared to every other Halo game which I believe is from over balancing to make every single weapon in the game have it’s shot to kill you in 2 seconds. This game is exactly like CoD where the enemy spawns next to you. I prefer Halo Reach to this game and in my book Halo Reach wasn’t the best game. This game looks amazing don’t get me wrong but with all these maps being made with forge… I’m sorry I hate forge maps from the community because 343 seems lazy. I like getting free stuff for DLC but not community forge BS. I just don’t dig all the buildings looking bland black/brown with a little yellow. No effort was put into the buildings. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I would rather play Monopoly…

When all is said and done, what it’s really going to come down to is where the game stands 1 and a half year from now. Let’s be real here, after a while, playing to old same game type in matchmaking is going to become repetitive and boring. I say this because the commendation are short as shet and well most likely unlock all the reqs by then. That’s where the customs games takes a stand. I want to be fascinated by the new and creative maps and game types people create in forge and custom games. This is why I’m heavily hoping they put the original zombie modes back into the game instead of that flood shet they did in 4. I won’t lie, the flood was something new at the time however, it became very limit into what game types can be created with it by the simple fact that you can change what weapons they use.

Overall I want something to keep me coming back to halo 5 to play fun and creative game modes and maps well after I’m done with matchmaking. Both halo 3 and reach had this feature. You can’t tell me you didn’t enjoy playing Teacher, assassin creed, fat kid, monster trucks, omega journey, Indiana Jones, resident evil, l4d the sewer, ghost busters, trash compacter, sword tournament, and many more fun and awesome game types back in the halo 3 and reach days.

I don’t know about y’all but the Halo 5 campaign sure as hell pissed me off, as did the lack of special ops and split screen. I felt as though as though they heavily push competitive play, which I’m not entirely mad about cause I can easily hold down a 3.0 KDA without worry. And the game-play is 1st tier as well I’m not gonna lie. But got damn whats with that radar system, do a person literally have to be on someone’s -Yoink- in order for the radar to recognize the enemy.

But yeah, that’s my two cents for this post, I’ll be more than happy to read someone’s reply on this.

But you shouldn’t have to log onto the net to understand it. All other Halo rankings I understand just by looking. I cannot defend this game. It is just awful with its iron sight aiming smart link good god… smart link what trash. This is 2558 stop using iron sights. I loved the other Halo games because it had nice zoom without a hand underneath getting in the way…

At least Reach had a full campaign, forge, and NOT a multiplayer gamemode based off of MOBA’s with the REQ system. I mean Halo 5 isn’t even close to a full game. At least Reach had more than enough to entertain me.

Quick lets do a list of things that Halo: Reach had at launch that Halo 5 didn’t

Big team battle
Team Doubles
Team Snipers
Odd ball
Infection
King of the Hill
FileShare
Forge
Territories
Assault
Juggernaut
ViP

PLease feel free to add to this list any of the many many things I have neglected to mention

Again, why not both? Is there some rule out there that states we can only play one?

Halo 1 to 3 had me picturing Spartans as bad -Yoink- mofos… There was a mystery to them and I liked the aura around master chief and the Spartans. When Reach came out… The helmets came off the Spartans… Literally… And they seemed more like normal people in armor. Didn’t seem bad -Yoink- enough anymore. I hate how they seem to go out of there way to show the Spartans in Reach and Halo 5 without their helmets. Reach was the start of that and despite it being a good game… It made halo less badass to me.
