With all of the “fixes” needed for Halo Reach that people are claiming, I wonder how different it will be once Halo 4 comes out.
I remember it was the same for all other Halo games, people complaining about Halo 2 until they saw Halo 3, and then complaining about Halo 3 and saying Halo 2 was better, and so on. It’s like a chain reaction, similar to the Call Of Duty franchise.
What are your thoughts?

I don’t know about everyone else, but Halo Reach will be my fallback nostalgia Halo. The one I play every once in a while when I’m bored with the newest edition. (did that before Halo 2 went down)
Halo 3 will be the same, but to a lesser extent.
Solution to this problem: Take every single Halo game and mash em up into one disk. Bada Boom! I like this idea.
Halo 3 is mine, from all the custom games with 10+ people I had, it held the best experience in my mind. Though I know you can make bigger and better ones in Reach, Halo 3 was the best for me.
There will most definitely be some people who still play Reach after Halo 4 comes out, but I know I’ll move on to the new game once it comes out!

Halo 3 and Reach both sucked. Halo 3 just sucks less than Reach. I never played a game of Halo 2 I didn’t thoroughly enjoy, and it is for me the best in the franchise, I like CE, but I found it alot more stale than 2.
Though to be BRUTALLY honest when I say Halo 3 sucks compared to Reach, I only mean NON Anniversary Reach.
Anniversary Classic is a REALLY good set of gametypes, and I think it compares to Halo 2.
@Fatman: Actually common consensus is that Skyrim is either the best in the series, or second to Morrowind. Oblivion was nowhere near as good as either of these games. And Alot of people claimed to like Black Ops alot more than MW2 long before MW3 came out, but I still liked MW2 more than any other CoD, including 4. Though I never played 2.

I started with CE and i didn’t hate reach. I thought the original trilogy was better but reach wasn’t awful imo

Now that’s a bit of an exaggeration, don’t you think? Reach was different in its own right, and while it didn’t succeed in some departments, it’s still a fun game, and it will hold lessons for the franchise.

I’ve been playing Halo since it came out in 2001, and have enjoyed the Halo online experience since Halo PC in 2003. I also love Halo Reach. Please don’t pretend that you’re a good representation of every player out there, and do not speak for them.

I started with Halo 1 in 2002. Shows what you know.
I never started disliking current Halo games when a new one was released until Reach. There’s just something about the sandbox and maps that is just uninviting. Halo 3 MP-wise is better than Halo 2, which was better than Halo CE for me. Of course there were things I missed, but the experience was logically forward moving.

You like the previous 3 more thus Reach is the worst Halo in you’re opinion. Unless you like Reach more than O.D.S.T or Halo Wars.

If it was by fact the worst, then halo PC, halo 2 vista and halo 3 would have a combined total that exceeds halo reach’s population but they dont.
By your logic halo 1 2 and 3 are far superior. Why are they all dead and reach is top 5 on xbox live ?

Nahhh, you can’t beat Halo 3 customs. So many different maps made (Which weren’t grey!) and so much fun was had playing with all friends (Even CoD fans!). And then there was usually one million or more online even two years after the initial release of the game… Good times, they will be missed.

I started with Reach and then got Halo 3 ODST.
The “This thing looks cool” from Reach turned into “HOLYCRAPYES!” in Halo 3.

I started out in Halo 3.
Or really more like Halo 2, I played it first, but only the campaign.
Anyways, I like Reach alot.

That’s why I’d rather play Halo Wars than any PC RTS.
