Halo Reach on PC "Contacting Server" issue

I have been playing Halo Reach on PC (Steam Version) since the day it launched perfectly fine. I have had little to no problems while playing and have clocked in upwards of 25 hours played until yesterday afternoon. I was able to play yesterday morning just fine but when I took a break and came back an hour later I couldn’t start matchmaking due the the message “Contacting Server”. This message will sit there and do nothing I have even waited on the message for upwards of 30mins. I tried so many things to fix this and am out of options at this point any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same. They are not willing to fix it.

Still having this problem anyone found a solution yet or at the very least got this issue to at least be acknowledged by a dev? Would really love to play sometime soon this is day 4 of being unable to play…

Im going to just +1 on this issue

Halo : MCC Steam Version in Canada here.

Still happening, must be a server(Microsoft) issue, clearly not on our side.

Bump.

Happening for me too. I’d love to actually play the game if they can fix it.

I had this problem once, to fix it I clicked on the blue square next to my rank and nameplate on the main menu, then I clicked on my nameplate and selected “Change Profile” and click “YES” to sign out.

Log back in again and it should be fixed, at least that did it for me.

I also verified my game files before doing this, that might help if you have a missing or corrupted file like I did.
