Halo Reach not properly syncing with my gamer tag

Signed on to play some Halo Reach today and it shows my Spartan as
the default with a rank of base recruit. In reality I know that I reached the rank of Field Marshal, and had a good chunk of the armor options unlocked. I can’t even connect to the in game servers with a stable internet connection. Waypoint claims I’ve never played the game even though my gamer tag still has all the achievements I’ve completed. Need help with getting my old service record back in snyc with my Xbox live GT.

Edit I should stay that the correct service record is my old GT of Shifty875 which shows the correct info on the bungie.net site but I had changed that name to the current one (Shifty Glytch) through the Xbox console.

Could be that there are some server issues if you’re having trouble connecting. As soon as you manage to connect and play a game or 2, everything should sync up with your new gamertag. May take a day or 2, but as long as you play while connected to xbox live it will pick up your gamertag change

Been a few days so far and the problem continues. Matchmaking says that the servers are still unavailable and I’m still portrayed as a recruit on the main screen with default armor and yet when I go to the armory, I see my Spartan with the armor I chose and the rank at the bottom says field marshal…so disappointed.

This happens alot make sure you select your hard drive or whatever you save all your game data on.
