Why isn’t halo reach in the classic games list?(now it’s a short post but just want to know)
Maybe because you can play it on XB1??

You can play halo wars on xb1 it is in the classic
It’s not a classic as I’m guessing it introduced too many things, which the games up until Halo 3 ODST didn’t for example sprint.

“Classic” Halo is defined as 1,2, and 3.

I think he means why isn’t it lumped in with the rest of the classic games in the “Classic Halo Games” section here in the forums. That section is for “ALL TOPICS RELATED TO HALO: ANNIVERSARY, HALO 3: ODST, HALO 3, HALO WARS, HALO 2 AND HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED” … now, Anniversary is newer than Reach, but it’s just a remaster of CE, so I think they just lumped them together (or want our discussions of them to be kept in the same place on the forums.
Reach is the first of the modern Halo games based on the gameplay and mechanics. Jetpacks, sprint, loadouts (limited ones, but still), etc.
But yeah, when we Halo fans use the word “classic”, we’re referring to CE, H2, & H3. If anyone is throwing Reach in there, then they’re just using the terms “modern” and “classic” to differentiate between the Bungie and 343 games and that’s just not how you do it. You say “Bungie and 343 games”.

Thx that makes more sense
Reach introduced a lot of new mechanics, like sprint, and it kind of strayed away from the original games.
It’s not part of the “Classic” trilogy.
