Halo: Reach Nameplates/Blue Flames

Nameplates:
The cool things that you could have done with your nameplate are now gone, to me I think that’s a little unfair. I mean Bungie did sign over to 343 Industries and in my opinion 343 should have transferred that to their website or on to halowaypoint. Although the nameplate art on Halo: Reach was more of a setting, to show all of the cool things you have done or just the look of the nameplate.
If you catch my drift, 343 or waypoint should bring that back because it was more of a setting.

Blue Flaming Helmet:
I understand that the blue flaming helmet was a gift from Bungie before the sign over, and you can’t get it anymore. What about players like me that have 30 Million CR and nothing to do with them other than keep collecting them? Why not add the blue flames to the armory for at least 1 Million CR or more? Also isn’t it a little unfair to us that some having the blue flames and others that didn’t even know about it or the people that just bought Reach can’t get it anymore?

I know that it’s an honor to have those two things but I do make a really good point. I also know 343 is updating Halo: 4 and is making the Master Chief Collection but Bungie signed over the Halo franchise so doesn’t that mean they still should update Halo: Reach every once and awhile? At least until 4 games of Halo comes out?

Please leave your opinions and comments, I want Halowaypoint and/or 343 Industries to recognize this and consider this.

I agree with your ideas, but I don’t think they should completely sell out. I think the blue flames should only be purchased if you achieve max rank and the nameplates be achieved in some other way. I don’t want to see everyone with that stuff equipped otherwise it will be recon armor in halo 3 all over again.

Yes I completely agree with you Jason, they need to keep updating the game and put the setting in Halowaypoint, and to make the Blue Flames able to buy, but just not the blue flames I want the Fire Flames able to buy! Why? because I bought the Legendary edition of Halo Reach and than I lose it out of no where?! Come on I paid for that and now its gone! 343 please make Jason’s wish/ or point become true!

I’m sorry, but you really don’t understand.

It was Bungie’s parting gift to their loyal fans of the franchise, the ones who were there during their run with Halo and who supported them. For 343i to turn around and start re-issuing them or worse, simply selling them for any amount of credits, would be disrespectful to Bungie and their contributions to the franchise.

There’s nothing unfair about it; you were either there or you weren’t. Do you show up for a store’s “Grand Opening” a year+ after the actual opening and expect the door prizes to still be available? I’m sorry, but that’s amazingly-selfish and self-entitled; limited time/availability means limited time/availability.

I’m sorry if you missed out on them, but it’s not right to think you’re still entitled to prizes for an event you were not present for.

Check your download history on your xbox; you should be able to re-download them if you had them previously.

The blue flames and name plates were only available in bungies last week. therefor it was a gift from bungie to all who had a bungie.net account.

Unfortunately OP, just because you weren’t aware of it at the time does not mean you or anyone else gets a free pass.

Not ONE person has been given the blue flames or a nameplate since Bungie released control of Halo, do not make the mistake of thinking you’ll be the exception.

The blue flames giveaway lasted longer than a week; it was closer to a month. One or two weeks via the Bungie website (which is where I got mine, as did my friends), but people who got the Bungie mobile app had another two weeks before everyone else got their chance.

It was also fairly-well advertised for people that went to Bungie.net, announced weeks in advance that it was going to happen. Kinda sad so many people slept through it for so long and still expect a handout this late.

I am locking this thread as it is just another duplicate. There have been numerous other threads regarding this issue all with the same answer that wont change.

The Eternal blue flames and nameplates for Halo Reach are a now discontinued feature, and will not be available again.
