Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta Disc

I have a Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta Disc. I’m not much of a Halo fan, but I think these were distributed in limited quantities. I’m curious whether or not these have any value to collectors.

I have never heard of Reach’s beta having a physical release.

edit - Ah, you mean the disc sent to Dashboard beta testers. Regardless, i’m not sure of its worth since I believe the beta is useless at this point because I don’t think you can access any of the options. I could be wrong.

My Xbox avatar still rocks the beta tester hoodie! Don’t remember there being a physical copy though?

There was never a Halo Reach Beta disc. There was a green Halo Reach disc that was sent out before the big title update, is that what you’re referring to? It was like an early access version before the update hit XBL

Assuming it is playable - or can be made playable - I imagine that someone would have great fun messing around with it.

Keep in mind that the term “beta” doesn’t strictly refer to an early public demo of a game. Instead, it refers to an early build of the game.

If Halo: Reach was burned onto some discs during an early stage of its development, I’m sure there are some interesting things to discover within it.

Fair point. I’m sure there might be some Beta disks out there but I’ve never seen nor heard of one. I’ve seen a Halo CE Alpha Build before and a couple of Halo 2 Beta Builds that were official from Bungie but that’s about it

shoot ill take it off your hands!

assuming its playable and its early access, id imagine theres plenty of secrets and easter eggs the final game cut out.
