halo reach matchmaking is it getting boring?

as well as you know halo reahc has been around for 2 years has the mathcmaking started to become boring post now and post what you would love to see in halo reach and its amazing multiplayer match making and as well how has the updates been lately are the and as well as this are you tired of tu being in big team and other matchmaking playlist

Well…kinda but not really we could use more maps from the community such as Invasion that needs more maps instead of Boneyard and Spire all the time we could use more maps there. We also can use more gametypes like what H3 had I would like to see the Dodgeball thing back where you throw grenades at people and have a plasma pistol and 3x overshields. It’s a good game to beef up your grenade throwing. To me H3 has more gametypes than Reach does we seriously need more on Reach

more maps for invasion and to play on DLC maps without going squad DLC would be nice.

There are no punctuation marks in this post. “Are the and as well as this are you”, WHAT?

Matchmaking is getting stale, in my opinion. I’m tired of playing the same shipped maps over and over again. I want to play the dlc maps that I paid good money for. 343i should just buckle down and make some of the playlists DLC required.

but only problem is that dlc cost money so maybe we should create better matchmaking playlist bring in community created slayer maps because 1 thing our community is very strong

i agree but being able to play on the DLC aswell would be awesome. maybe matchmaking with other players who own DLC could work but i imagine that’s alot of work and not going to happen.

just an example but on CoD soon as you buy DLC your instantly playing on your new maps.

The maps certainly are, but I spend hours at times playing Reach matchmaking!

Its a little sad that people are more eager to pay money for crappy CoD maps than the excellent ones we get with Reach DLC.

More Arena ranked playlist, MLG, SWAT, BTB, Squad, Slayer Pro and oh yeah an Arena with all the AA currently in TS, novel idea I know. More gametypes like heavies, some new Living Dead playtypes, maybe a community map playlist that rotates maps out on a monthly basis. A Race playlist, lower the price of DLC in order to sell as many as is possible before the release of Halo 4, when they will basically become worthless, this will also allow them to hit circulation more.

I got more, but that should keep the MM team busy until the release of Halo 4 when they should hit the reset button on the TU and allow those that stick around to enjoy Reach as it was.(better)

Ditto. If anyone wants to play DLC maps on Reach, go to Squad DLC its the only best chance to play there cause on regular matchmaking you won’t find alot who have the maps which is sad  The maps are awesome. Highlands is one of my favorites and Installation 04.

mainly because they are little kids that get their parents to buy it. still don’t understand why people wont buy the reach maps they’re on sale right now half price!!!

It got boring for me months ago…once the api was dropped and all my favorite stat sites pretty much shut down I decided to wait until Halo 4 came out. If the api does not make a comeback I don’t see me playing halo 4 long either.

Boring is completely subjective.

People are bound to get a little tired of playing a particular game for an extended period of time.
Take a little time away from Reach, play some other games.
Come back a few weeks/months later and you’ll be refreshed.

Halotracker is still up there and collecting data.

They have stats for Super Slayer, while Waypoint doesn’t yet. That website is still going strong.

I stopped playing Reach two weeks after launch, and came back a year later. Now, I am taking another break because it is getting boring again. This does have something to do with my Squad Slayer being taken out without a suitable replacement being given.

I am currently playing Dragon Age again and may come back once I am finished with it.

I just bought the Defiant and Noble DLC maps (50% off) so I have some new maps to keep me interested. I like only a few of the new community maps they’ve recently introduced in Team Slayer, but the one thing that I really want is a medium-sized TS map with some Warthogs or Banshees like we had in Halo 3 Team Slayer. I miss vehicular combat without 16 people running around all over the place.

I only play to have fun with friends. There is little to no incentive to boot up MM by myself anymore.

It should also be noted that Reach is One and a half years old.

I admit, while Halo Reach has so much potential, the way it is handled is really bad.

In Halo 3 i always spent at least 2 hours in matchmaking because the playlists were done right, one for competitive, one for fun, one for casual, and that weekly playlist meant for shenanigans

In Halo Reach the only fun i have now is Custom Games because its the only unpredictable place to play. Matchmaking in Halo reach is SO diverse that it actually detracts form the fun all i’m left with is boring, stale, and fun-ruining gametypes.

I wish i could go somewhere else but all i have is Halo cause im cool like that( why did my little cousin have to trip over my Ethernet cable on my Xbox 360 while playing Halo Wars?! It scratched the game disk horribly :’( )

We don’t need new maps, we need new gametypes that change up the way people play the game.

> We don’t need new maps, we need new gametypes that change up the way people play the game.

The TU and Anniversary playlists poor populations tells me otherwise.

People that enjoyed Halo CE/2/3 settings are long gone and didn’t come back for the TU and Anniversary playlists.

No one plays customs anymore because you don’t get many credits :frowning:
