Halo Reach LINKED UP WITH BUNGIE.NET CHALLENGE

I recently received the challenge in Halo Reach where I have to link my Xbox gamertag with Bungie.net and then play a Matchmaking game to be rewarded with 1 credit. However, I did both requirements, but the challenge is still not complete. Is this because Bungie itself doesn’t do Halo anymore? And if that’s the problem, then how am I supposed to get this challenge done?

BUNGIE severed their servers connection many years ago from the Halo servers. Whatever you do in Reach is no longer registered on their website. Last i checked some got the challenge done by being linked on Waypoint instead, but if that doesn’t work then i doubt the challenge is doable. You might have to settle for that particular one being locked out.

by posting here you already have

That challenge along with custom challenges are no longer available, all stat tracking as mentioned before is unavailable due to Bungie moving on to other things. OP, I wouldn’t worry about the challenge anyway if it is just 1 credit.

If only 343 could just push an update to reach that made it read/submit statistics from halowaypoint

Well guess I won’t be getting the “complete 28 daily challenges” done. RIP

I think you just need to play a matchmaking game. I completed the challenge when I did that. Though, I was connected to Bungie.net in the past, so, yeah, that could also be a factor.

Yeah this “challenge” is really dumb. I get the point back when the game first came out, to get people interested in their website and all but it should have been removed from the rotation before Bungie dumped the game onto 343 studios’ shoulders. I’m sure it still easily could be taken out but we all know that’s not in the cards.

Sorry but when bungie left the picture they stopped everything with halo. This challenge can’t be completed anymore 343 really needs to see if they can do something about this :[

Of course the “challenge” can still be completed, however for 2019 Reach(or even 2013 Reach to be fair), it makes no sense at all. 343 isn’t going to do anything for this game other than(supposedly, anyway) server repairs to ensure matchmaking runs smoothly. I’m still waiting for a response about this in another thread going on over a month.

You know what sucks useing an account that any day could be taken from you all of us just wish the 360 lived forever and reach would live on i went through the efforts of talking with microsoft about all this and they pushed it off blameing bungie that its there fault but with no way to talk to a person at bungie theres no way to tell if they whernt so discrete about stuff we could bring it back

Bungie now doesn’t have updated progress for their website

It’s a single Credit, dude. You can get more than that just by sitting in Forge for five minutes.
