Halo: Reach - Laggy/Blurry on Xbox 360 Slim E

Hey Everybody!

I’m in need of some help or information and I’m hoping that you fine peeps could help me out.

I recently bought Halo: Reach (Used) and I’m having this really weird problem. My game is always incredibly laggy/blurry when walking around or fighting. Now I understand the game has motion blur and thats fine, But the game itself really can’t have this much blur can it?

I’ve had a fiddle around with my TV settings and everything is fine, No motion blur or or filters in the settings. I have configured my Xbox 360’s settings to…

  • HDTV Settings: 1080p
  • Reference Levels: Expanded
  • HDMI Color Space: YCbCr709
  • Display Discovery: Disabled

Okay, Now obviously I’m using a HDMI cable from the console to the TV. I thought that maybe it could be the cable? Unfortunately no luck. I even tried using the analog cables that came with the console but that just made it worse lol. I’ve installed the game perfectly fine on my 500GB HDD.

I also bought Halo CE: Anniversary, Halo 3 + ODST, Halo 4 and Red Dead Redemption. Comparing the games it seems that this issue is only apparent in Reach. Halo 4 in particular looks clean, crisp and absolutely amazing!

I’m completely gobsmacked so if any of you guys could shed some light on it I’d appreciate it. I’ve uploaded a video below of me playing a quick game of matchmaking to show you what I’m talking about. Sorry I’m really bad. XD
