I have a question about the game before I buy the game itself. Is there a lot of blood in this game?
Im not really a “violent player” but my friend says its not that bad. As 343 Industries is the new head of Halo, I would like to ask someone whos played the game. Please tell me soon. Thank you.
EDIT: Ok so based on the comments, this is going well. But what about the language? Please tell me what the base is for this.
It’s one of the least violent games out there right now, you rarely see blood in the game and when you do, it is only a marine or covenant bleeding out, nothing that lasts for a long time.
Halo Reach is definitely not too violent. I mean, it’s an M rated shooter game after all, so people should know what they’re getting into when they buy it.
There isn’t any overly gruesome violence like in Gears of War, nor is there any violent scenes asides from the usual shooting and meleeing.
I just wish energy swords actually chopped people, or the sword swing should change the animation. The animation clearly shows the sword passing through the torso, yet the dead corpse is unscathed and fully intact. It’s always bothered me…
OT: No, the game is not violent. I rarely see blood unless I am in theater mode to be honest.
The great thing about the Halo games is that the STORY carries the weight. You don’t need to have ridiculous amounts of blood and gore to enjoy the game.
The realism would go way up if there was more (I mean, come on, this is an intergalactic war we are fighting), but it isn’t needed.
Ever notice how ‘splatter movies’ usually have terrible story lines?
It’s a shooter. It’s supposed to be violent. You’re not running around seeing who can give out the most hugs to win the game; you’re trying to kill your opponent.
ESRB ratings are for children who can not separate reality from fiction, thus Halo prevents kids from thinking its ok to shoot someone square in the face when playing pretend with a real gun and thinking they will come back.
