Do you want to know why? It is because it is the most team dependent game in the halo franchise. The Single player isn’t so bad, but man the multiplayer is the worst peice of social engineering crap ever. You see kiddies Halo 1 was not only a success story becuase of its story and game engine ; it also had the best weapon balance ever seen. Halo OG 3 shot pistol was perfect for fighting against those who like to team and roll with a pack. IF you were very skilled with the 3 shot pistol you could carry very hard. You see the longer TTK of Reach means it gives team mates a chance to come clean up the mess. The DMR at long range is also quite strong with concentrated fire when used by teams.
I can only guess that over the years bungie/343 catered to casuals. They didn’t want the 3 shot pistol to widen the skill gap and players to dominate. But i’m just going to be frank… PISS ALL OVER HALO REACH. IT is hot garbage. I can’t wait till og halo drops for pc… I will never play Reach Multiplayer again.
What the -Yoink- are you on about? I hate Halo: Reach right now because of the -Yoink- Leveling System and having to unlock all the armor I already did back in 2011… But you? You’re complaining about something that doesn’t exist, if anything, skill is increased in Reach… There is a VARIETY of weapons that all play a pivotal role in the combat and unit cohesion of Reach…
If you don’t have at least 2 people using a DMR or an Assault rifle on your team in an Invasion match, you’re -Yoinked!-. If you don’t have someone using a Shotgun or a Sniper rifle during a Slayer match, you’re gonna get -Yoinked!-… The variety of weapons are meant for actual unit tactics, not just “chicken running around with it’s head cut off combat.” Which CE always wasa, as it had literally a FEW weapons, and those few weapons were all -Yoink- at range except for the Sniper, Pistol, and Rocket Launcher.
If you think that Reach is bad, you better never play something like ArmA, or SQUAD, or RB6: Siege, hell you shouldn’t even play Ghost Recon: Wildlands, you’d cry your eyes out… You’re missing what Reach was and is, it was and still is the evolutionary turn for the Halo saga, as it implemented features that both re-defined and refined the gameplay of Halo, making it more akin to something like COD, yes… But you have to remember, Reach didn’t have Loadouts, or Wall Running, or Kill/Scorestreaks, which every Call Of Duty past Ghosts has had.
Also, Reach didn’t have the much hated Microtransaction system that Halo 5 has, and many other COD’s have…
If you ask me, you better be thankful that Bungie didn’t -Yoink- Reach back in the day, and made a decent game that required tactical know-how and cooperation… Much unlike 343i, who continue to blast their audience with broken gameplay, stories, and egregious microtransactions… Go find somewhere else to complain about made up problems.
Nah, H5 is the most team shot dependent game.
