How do you trouble shoot the connection of the headset?
It seems to “sync” with my xbox. And it turns on and off. However, I don’t have a speaker next to my profile in matchmaking.

This happened to me with a normal wireless headset. Check your Xbox is uncovered, It may be the case that the wifi port that your headset connects to is covered by something, If that does not work restart your xbox and re sync.
Hopefully that should fix the problem for you. If not then take your headset back to the shop you bought it from. If you have to buy a new headset I would suggest a high end wired headset that you can use for Xbox and other media,
I have a MLG Astro A40 Audio System. It is pricey at $200 however I was well worth the cost, If you don’t have the money for a Astro then I would have to say another wireless mic would be the best option. On Turtle Beach and Xbox wired headsets the cables are really weak and break with ease and cannot be replaced so the wireless option is the best.
