Of course 99.9999% of you are going to disagree with me but personally I prefer halo reach. I played the crap out of that game and even until the day before H4 was released I was still enjoying reach. For 2 years I played that game and didnt get bored at all, could play it for hours every single day.
Now with halo 4 I play for maximum an hour a day and find myself preferring to go and watch big bang theory with my sister. Which is -Yoink- because I love the halo series and this crap comes out which makes me want my money back. Everything is so glitchy, forge sucks and is full of glitches eg dynamic lighting, spartan ops is more repetitive than Lil wayne saying the N word, Matchmaking is ridiculously laggy unless I play between 2 and 3 pm (no custom search), the campaign was a let down for me, too short and linear, and no firefight… then again if they introduced it like it was in reach id rather big bang theory… and the soundtrack was so bad like odst soundtrack was better. Am I seriously the only one who thinks this? I got over the game in literally 1 month and I cant stand to play anymore I just forge now but even that sucks because whenever i go back into a map im working on every single piece has shifted by 2 degrees and it looks like a baby forged it.
Seriously why can’t i seem to get into this game like I did in reach and halo 3?
There’s just no longevity in this game at all, i’m the same, after an hour i need to put it down, it’s just not fun.
I went back to reach after a month of halo 4. I liked the campaign, Spartan ops has a good story even though I found the missions themselves kinda boring, but I cant get into the multiplayer I just have too many issues with it.
I gave reach away when I got Halo 4, and regretted it.
Just purchased this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290830618255 since I originally got the Bundle edition with my Reach console.
Really miss playing firefight and it had a great campaign imo.
good job with that Guaranteed_replies.txt, OP!
people who say this game has no longevity make me laugh.
some people play halo for fun, not to unlock stuff. what else was there to do after you reached 50 in halo 3? oh, nothing.
what else was there to do after you reached your maximum level in halo 2? nothing. except playing for fun.
gee, you keep complaining about COD but all of you seem to only play games that follow it’s unlock pattern BS.
I seem to have the same kind of feelings about Halo 4, though I am actually able to enjoy it, I’m not playing it as much as I did Reach.
I can’t speak for you, seeing as I don’t know your age. But personally, I think I’ve just grown up. I’d still happily play Halo, I’m far from giving up gaming as it’s been a past time of mine for as long as I can remember, but I just find myself not playing as much as I used to, I haven’t lost any enjoyment of Halo 4 though.
Again, this is just my personal reasoning.
I admit, I have to use reverse psychology and a lot of creative imagination to enjoy this game, but I’m able to pull it off.
Here’s what I do to make things fun for me:
-I kill marines in campaign.
-I collect the latest versions of any game type and map in MM.
-I look for glitches/Easter Eggs/exploits in campaign and Forge.
-I forge stuff and play with the game’s physics, like driving worthogs over explosives.
-I play MM with my dummy account to troll and experiment with different loadouts and playstyles so I don’t eff up my k/d.(not that I should care; why have k/d in objective 343?)
-I like playing customs with friends.
-I like grinding SpOps for xp.
yeah i felt a little disappointed to be missing reach after like 2 months of halo 4… the main things i miss is probably invasion, living dead, and suprisingy some of the maps (despite the brokeness of most of the maps). anyway i’m home on break and left my copy of reach in my apartment near my college (hours away) so i’m going back this weekend and i’ll probably put reach back in (it’ll probably feel weird going back though…)
also i played reach prety frequently all the way until halo 4 came out, like two years, i don’t know if halo 4 can keep me entertained that long. but there is hope, 2 more map packs, forged maps in MM, more spartan ops and hopefully some title updates will make this game last. i’m pretty excited for most everything announced in the last bulletin coming up, i just hope they’re staying in MM and don’t leave after a week.
Simple. Because when you’ve played a series as long as this and see it changed, the game can’t give you the same feeling of “newness” as it once did.
That’s my theory anyways.
However, i am going to have to exclude myself from this mighty fine circle jerk and say that Halo 4 > Reach (with some exceptions).
I’ll leave at that.
I am playing Reach right now. I was hoping Halo 4 wasn’t going to be a big fiesta fight for every playlist but it is and there is no reason for me to play SPops like firefight. No options to change it anyway I want to either. I felt that the Reach armor looks better, and I like the armor better than Halo 4’s.
People kept hyping Halo 4 up like it was going to be better than Halo Reach sadly, it did not live up to that hype as far as I am concerned. There are just a lot of features missing and the mulitplayer, like I said, is a big fiesta fight.
This is why I prefer Reach:
Halo 3 Warthog > Reach Warthog
Reach Warthog >>>>>>>>> Halo 4 Warthog
I prefer Halo 4. Reach felt rather slow and rough after playing Halo 4; overall, Halo 4 plays smoother and just feels more like Halo 3. Not that I don’t like Reach, but I think Halo 4 is a better game.
Reach is a much better game. Even though it wasn’t as good as 2 or 3 it was still a great game and people took it for granted. Now people can see the worst Bungie game is still better than what anybody else can do.

yeah i don’t even want to think about warthogs, everybody has plasma pistols and plasma grenades. you really have to stay like across the map because you can’t get anywhere near other players.
now the gauss warthog on the other hand is like on the opposite side of the spectrum, that thing has some crazy aim assist. whenever i get on a guass hog i get like a minimum of like 5 easy kills. one time i got an awesome driver when i was on the guass turret and got like 14 kills first life no joke. we ended up doing it again later that match and i picked up another 9 kills.
