Hi, all of a sudden Reach won’t allow me to sign a guest in, anyone know why? I have Xbox Live Gold, and the game works perfectly when playing alone, however whenever a guest is signed in it says I need Gold, then signs both players out, even though I am a Gold member. Also, this is quite random as I often sign in guests and this is the first time it has happened.
Are you trying to sign in a guest or another account on a second controller?
A guest, and sorry for the three threads, I kept getting a message saying that it wasnt added because it wasn’t unique or had the same name as another topic
What happens when you try to sign the guest in on the dashboard?
I cant sign in as a guest on the dashboard, there isn’t an option, I never thought you could
Can you get onto Halo: Reach and play matchmaking when signing in from the dashboard?
When signing in MY profile from the dashboard, I can play Reach fine, but as soon as I try to sign a guest before a game it says I dont have live and signs both my account and the guest account out.

On the dashboard, with the second controller, open the guide, choose Sign in and then scroll through all the account until you get to the bottom, it should say Guest, choose it and then try launching Halo: Reach.
Nope there is only my 4 accounts, then create profile, then download profile when trying from the dashboard, I can only sign a guest in from a game

Odd, I remember being able to sign in a guest in on the dashboard.
Regardless, I just tried doing this myself and it disconnects me from Xbox LIVE as well oddly enough.

No idea how to fix it, I was actually matching guests on Halo: Reach yesterday.

Good to see this thread. I ran into the same problem a week or two ago and was sure I’d been able to play with a guest before too. We were just playing campaign anyway so it was no big deal not being able to play on live. I had to select “play local” in the Halo menu to be able to sign in a guest to play.
Maybe it’s a (newish) XBL thing?

Nope, and I couldn’t say so if I was 
I was interested when I saw it, but the NDA etc. turned me right off. Frankly I can’t see how anyone would sign-up after reading it and must conclude that the only ones who did sign-up didn’t really read the whole thing
Update: Signing in the “Guest Xbox LIVE” profile seems to work fine now.
