I finally got my brother to buy an xbox360 and he got the anniversary edition including the awesome halo reach but the download code included apparantly is for the french version. This is bad since we all speak dutch here. Contacted microsoft and they were unwilling too help. Have been looking at a lot of forums and manny people have been tricked by these downloaded game version and gotten the french instead of english version. Was wondering if you mighty peeps at 343 could do annything so that my brother can enjoy the halo universe in all its glory.
Wait, so the code itself is a French code? If I remember correctly, Reach’s language setting is dependent on what setting your Xbox is set to. So, if your brother’s Xbox has its language set to Dutch, it should play with Dutch settings.
However, I don’t think it would be redeemable in your area, since I believe the codes are locale-specific

I got the same problem.
I bought a xbox yesterday and downloaded Halo reach, no problems.
But in campaign the spoken language is French.
my local settings are Belgium and my language is just English.
and changing those settings to UK, dutch … doesn’t work.
