No one “earned” flames, they purchased it. Anyways, you’d have to purchase a code for the legendary flames armor effect or purchase the legendary edition of Halo Reach. Blue flames were the only ones earned, and there’s NO way to earn them now.
^ As above - legendary flames can only be obtained from buying the Legendary edition of the game
I was lucky enough to get the Legendary edition when the game came out. Now the only way to get the codes for flaming head are to go onto Amazon or Ebay. But they are really overpriced. Yeah the Legendary edition and everything it comes with is cool, but not $300 USD cool.
I bought the Legendary edition for $100 a month or two after launch. Flipped the code for $90.
Pretty sweet deal, getting everything in the box but the code for $10.

You risk having your account banned license transferring as it’s against the XBL ToS. It’s also against the rules of the forum to sell or trade goods. If you don’t have them, you’ll need to find an unused code somewhere and pay for it.
