Halo Reach Ending Correlation with future Halos?

If anyone remembers the last cut scene of Reach,

(SPOILERS)

Noble 6 dies and his helmet lies on a field of rich plant life and beautiful scenery. The year on the bottom right corner is 2589 which surpasses the timeline of Halo 5 Guardians so could this mean the ending of Reach has ties towards future halo games? The ship or structure in the background looks more human than alien so could this mean humanity defeats Cortana and her Guardians? Or did Bungie simply just choose a random year?

Let me know your thoughts.

As I understand it and was exampled on Meridian in Halo 5, the UEG (UNSC) go back to many former glassed worlds and attempt to recover them and then terraform them.

There’s really no chance of this NOT happening.

That being said, Cortana isn’t trying to kill off humanity (though she’s mighty inconsistant), it could always be her helping humans spread to worlds.
