My friend wants to play Halo Reach with me , but he doesn’t have enough money to buy MCC
1.If he buys Halo Reach(on steam it tells me that it is only a DLC and that means I need to purchase MCC first) can he play with me ?
2.Is Halo Reach campaign playable on co-op mode?
We just want to finish the campaign together and play some firefight like in the good old days
It makes no sense to purchase MCC if you only want to play Halo Reach.And if you own MCC you don’t need to buy Halo Reach
The reviews on Halo Reach’s(DLC) steam page convinced me to make this question

  • Yes, if he buys Reach standalone he’ll get access to every feature it has including full multiplayer; the MCC bundle isn’t required for that. You’ll be able to play together just fine. - MCC Reach has 2-4 player Campaign co-op. Currently there isn’t splitscreen functionality but you can play together over internet or LAN.
