I notied earlier today that they were missing the custom challenges feaure for Halo Reach. I was just wondering if this will be returning in a later update or if they took it out entirely?

You can’t. The Custom Challenges feature was removed.
Really? I had just learned about them too, sucks. :\ It’s kinda weird they would remove that feature now. 343 waypoint updates just keep removing stuff, don’t they?
They were removed because 343i and Microsoft are going to destroy Halo and Xbox. I mean we have to pay for home internet, live, netflix and hulu if we want them so whats the point? There isn’t any! They take away the stuff that makes games fun and expect us to keep going well I for one am done. Was a big Halo fan but not anymore. Will probably be going with a PS4 instead of an Xbox One. I would rather play Destiny on PS3. At least PSN is free on PS3 as it should be. I bought your system I should not be paying to play online!

The custom challenge feature was available for 2 years starting in 2012. It was never said that it would be a permanent feature since it was never actually part of the game or patched into it. It was basically just a feature of the Halo Waypoint website, which in turn has been subsequently removed due to the games age and a focus on newer projects.
Wow, I was looking forward to trying custom challenges and I got on and it was taken over by 343 so it’s bad for me that they had to take it off.

So calling out people that are adapting to the small population of Reach and taking advantage of loopholes left by the Game creators makes them noobs? That’s sad and makes you look bad.
The majority of high ranks now a days are skunked due to dwindling population and new people leaving due to that irrational fear of rank. If boosting is a way of reaching the prestigious rank of a 4-5 year old game, let them be, nothing is really stopping them now.
People boosted off many things, and still do to this day, on any game, legitness is just a morality.
