Halo Reach CR boost?

Hey guys, we all know Halo Reach is a old game by now, but i think 343 should update the earning system in Halo Reach, you know? Earn more per online match, etc etc i hope we could possibly get a little movement going to make this happen! Let me know what you think! #RememberReach

The only way I can see something like this happening is if 343i brought Halo: Reach to Master Chief Collection. Halo: Reach, even though people still play it, is 8 years old and very much outdated. I am a couple of ranks away from Inheritor so Lord knows I would love to jump back on and play.

The game’s progression system is an absolute disaster. Unless you pay for Xbox Live Gold, you probably will never even make it to the rank of Brigadier due to how little Credits you earn. If you’re using an offline profile you can level up at a decent pace, but an Xbox Live account in offline modes? Don’t even bother.

The game is a complete grind so the fact that people consider its progression system to be the best in the series is baffling as I’d much rather have the Halo 3 system of each armor piece having a unique challenge to complete to unlock. If 343i were to fix the progression system in Halo: Reach to make leveling up easier (keep in mind that the game’s ranking system isn’t even a skill-based one as it only cares about experience, so making it easier wouldn’t break competitive play,) then I’d want them to make the Credits you earn higher across the entire game.

I’m all for this. A legit path to Inheritor is and always has been near impossible for people with normal jobs. This game is old. I’d like my account on my 360 to be an Inheritor before XBL finally get cut on OG Xbox 360 consoles. I highly value my 360 and Reach, because it’s the only way to play Reach offline. Xbox One Reach requires internet to play due to the cloud being the only option for saves.

It all depends on the person. I managed to hit Inheritor, a few years back. I was working two jobs at the time, going to school full time, and ran my own business. It may not be at a pace you’d like but every little bit helps. The grind for Inheritor is exhausting and intense

Would be good to see a two part rank system. One for skill, another for grind. I hate to say it but destiny actually did this kinda well. Have a pvp focused progression system (with unique stuff) alongside a grind-geared system with unique rewards also.

I like the Reach Credit system the way it is except for when your offline and not playing Matchmaking. Other than that I like the credit system.

It’s a great idea, but for 343i there is no reason to do it, it’s an old game, it’s sad but true

I’d support this, but the odds of the XP system being changed 8 years later is a huge stretch, especially since 343 didn’t even have a hand in making Reach. They would most likely be going in blind from a development standpoint. But I agree, I started getting back into Reach now since I didn’t play it that much when it came out for some reason. I’m only a Captain (lmao), and I just want to unlock the EVA helmet and I’ll be happy. But -Yoink!- is the XP system a hardcore grind. And I have 600+ hours logged on Destiny 1, so you know that this stuff is extreme. I’m sure it was a little easier at launch, but still.

It’s want really a lot easier at launch what made it easier for a min. was the ability to make your own custom challenges (that was quite a while later). I miss those days.

Yes it is an old game but with some of the struggles 343 has faced they are currently trying to show they still care about their old games so it’s not impossible just highly improbable as it was a bungie game.
