Halo Reach connection problems please help!

Hello,
I picked up my reach today to play for the first time in a while and ran into a slight problem. Every time i try and join a match on live, it disconnects me right when the game says all players found/ match found. It claims my connection is good, no problems, i check my router, changed frequencies and all that fun stuff yet it still does it. Any help will help.

P.S This is the only game I have problems like this with.

good luck it has happened often enough to me tonight it stuck me on probation for quitting how it is my fault get kicked offline it has happened to me after
like 5 kills then when it tells me the sever has issues

Assuming you have a perfect connection with zero latency and packet loss issues you will still notice latency/packet loss related issues often because the host and/or other players may have bad connections that cause BS to happen.

I suggest manually port forwarding to ensure you have an open NAT but don’t be surprised if latency and packet loss aren’t reduced by much if at all.

In a client authoritive model it only takes one bad client to bring the system crashing down because when they are lagging they can aim where you were a few seconds and still hit you because they are lagging/dropping packets so you haven’t reached cover on their screen or performed whatever other action yet as a result.

It’s also why you see so many double knockouts and kills from the grave in Reach.

It’s not while I am in the grave, when i do get in, it’s fine, it only happens when i am about to get in a lobbie, i get kicked outta the party im in and it restarts the search.

With Reach, that’ll be the least of your issues

I have a manually forwarded open NAT and very rarely have that happen but when it does happen it is almost always a host booter or host issue of some kind and friends I’m playing with get booted/kicked as well even those with different ISPs, hardware and live in different countries.

I suggest making sure your networking hardware is in order as a lot of people with moderate, strict and dodgey NATs get kicked before the match and it counts towards the idiotic probation and the quit ban system.
