Im planing to buy Halo Reach on Master Chief collection to play with my friend, but he got the Xbox 360 compatible version with Xbox One. Could we still play together?
I’m afraid not; the MCC and Legacy versions are not compatible with each other.
Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 and MCC versions of Halo Reach are completely separate games that aren’t compatible with each other.
You can buy the X360 version of Reach (should cost you no more that Reach in MCC) and play that on your X1.
I know if you have MCC already if you’re planning on playing just MP you don’t need to pay for it, but if you want to do firefight or campaign then you would need to pay for it. If you only plan on doing firefight or campaign there wouldn’t really be anything wrong with the original but if you want to play MP, MCC would be better just it being more populated
