Halo:Reach Community Unite

Changes are needed, but not in the way it’s currently being implemented. I found myself playing less and less of Halo and more time in the forums trying desperately to figure out what the heck happened to Reach. Most complaints I see within community concentrate on settings. Shouldn’t we be requesting more CONTENT instead of arguing about which setting is better? Simple solution:
Create 4 main playlists:
Halo:CE/Anniversary
Halo 2 <---------------------Resurrected
Halo 3
Halo:Reach <--------------- Beta settings
Within each of these 4 playlists, there are multiple playlists (swat, slayer, etc.) containing the necessary changes. Of course each playlist will contain all the maps.
(Ex 1: Everything Vanilla, a super awesome overpowered pistol, moon jump, and w/o armor abilities would fall under Halo:CE playlist)
(Ex 2: The Halo 2 playlist would have dual wielding weapons)
(Ex 3: No bloom and no armor abilities would be in the Halo 3 playlist)
(Ex 4: Reach would have to be reset to its Beta settings w/bloom, because that’s when Reach was Awesome and super fun to play!)

Why haven’t we concentrated more on these:

  1. Adding new forge objects and unlock/provide all forge objects for all maps
  2. Fixing controller issues with Green Thumb in forge.
  3. Make a playable grunt with a dual grenade suicide.
  4. Maybe some playable vehicles from Halo Wars
  5. Putting the Scorpion back on Hemorrhage
  6. Reevaluate the True skill system and implement a system that gathers more data to effectively match up persons that are closer to another’s skill level, regardless of rank. Make it to where no one team has the upper hand. Completely dominating a team over and over may be fun, but not for the ones on the receiving end.
  7. Leave Grifball alone. Yeah, I said it.
  8. If someone lags out or rage quits, how about adding in a substitute, like a bot. Having the ability to choose what kind of bot to have would be awesome. (ex: camping bot).
The list could go on and on. CONTENT should be our main focus.

Some of the points you have made would require a massive update. As much as I do like some of the stuff you have suggested, it just would not be possible due to Reach’s engine and the fact that Halo 4 is coming out later this year. Bots would be cool though; I can never find enough people to play custom maps on.

Thanks for your reply. Although I too am awaiting the next Halo, I just can’t give up on Reach.
