Halo Reach clear nameplate?

I’ve been playing a lot of Halo Reach lately, and have always noticed these players with clear nameplates. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but if I had to guess its a mod, but I don’t know for sure. Does anyone know how these clear nameplates are obtained? And if there still obtainable?

I don’t suppose you’re referring to that thing you can do where you select the Seventh Column emblem, put it on a transparent background, and toggle it off?

I believe it’s a mod so it won’t be allowed to be discussed here if it is, but it’s been awhile since I’ve read about it so not completely sure.

It’s a mod, which mean, as noted above, can’t be discussed on Waypoint. I would also take the opportunity to recommend not looking into it or doing it, modding your console or game in any way can and will get your console / account banned from Xbox Live.

No, do you know you come across people with special symbols on there nameplates? Like the letters O D S T? Well the people I’m referring to have a nameplate that is completely clear.

Thanks, I just looked it up, and it wasn’t easy to find, but I found it is a mod called Ultra White. And I know not to even attempt those things, I’ve heard stories about mods. And may I ask (Hopefully without getting banned) why we aren’t allowed to discuss mods if they have to do with Halo? Again just wondering, not trying to rebel or something.

Waypoint operates in-part under Xbox Live’s Terms of Service and the ToS prohibits any kind of modding being done to profiles, games or consoles, therefore allowing the discussion of how you can do it doesn’t make much sense. We don’t really want to allow people to discuss something that will ultimately get them banned when they try it.

people have modded their armor color, such as ultra white or ultra black, which don’t have an accompanying nameplate color, leaving them blank

which, once again, is a modification and will result in termination of your account if you do it.
