Halo Reach Challenge Glitch

I’ve come back to playing halo reach again and I loved doing the challenges, only one problem though, they reset when they’re not supposed to. My only gripe with this game is how LONG it takes to level up and this challenge reset will help me so I thought about exploiting this glitch but I’m afraid Bungie will ban me for their own mistake (one that I’m fine they did) and since Bungie no longer owns halo, will they?
I’m really paranoid about my rank getting reset after so long but at the same time I don’t want to spend a month nonow stop just to get to Legend

I would be careful if I were you. I’ve been avoiding playing on certain days after I’ve already completed the challenges, even though they just reset back to 0 and let me keep all my credits. A week or so ago I was idling through a few Grifball games (something I’ll fess up to and say yeah, I was following my teammates’ lead to get credits without playing.) The next day, boom, it said I was temporarily banned from earning credits. I could still play but at the end of each game it would just say “+0” and then continue. I got my ban lifted a day later, but it shows that these ban rules are still in place. It’s all automated, from what I understand, and the automated ban system that Bungie set up years ago is still running.

So my advice is to err on the side of caution. Even if you’re not cheating the system intentionally, it’s all automated, so it will detect “Challenge Reset Glitch Exploitation” and just swing the automated ban hammer. Good luck. I’m still waiting on an answer in my thread about why this Challenge Reset glitch is even happening. It’s really starting to annoy me though, as I just want to go back to completing challenges. I hope a Bungie employee sees this!

I’ve been hit with the ban hammer before on reach. Sucks, but I still think it shouldn’t be automatic. But a real person doing it. Automatic is just inaccurate.

So even if I ACCIDENTALLY complete an easy challenge (shooting and looting) in like custom games then go back to that the same day and complete it again, they ban me?! Even if this problem is their fault?! Thanks bungie :frowning:

They have no right to ban you. If you exploit a loophole in the broken system its their fault not ours.
