How do you tap/break strafe on reach? If someone could show me i would really appreciate it. I try to do a quick sk then long but that wont work on lan plus im failing at it.
If you’re worrying about strafing in Reach then you’re doing it wrong.
Work on team work, positioning and knowledge of the game. All much more important than mashing your sticks back and forth - take it from a player who can’t strafe and is in the top 1% of players.
I’m not sure about learning strafing in Reach. You’d have to go back to Halo 2/3 to learn the true art form of it witht he BR. Some of that can carry over to the DMR in reach but not all of it. It has however helped me in very precise situations at times. Halo 3 in a forge map called the BR box with shield leeching is where you’d get good at strafing and it carries over to reach. I’d play that with a good friends for hours until my hands were sore. Soon it became second nature for me to strafe in battles without thinking about it much.
Simple strafe moves I learned in Halo 3 against reach players 95% of the time makes me win those DMR 1v1 battles and I will still have like 80% of my shields left from the encounter. So funny seeing players that can’t strafe in certain situations. I’ve even been in 2v1 situations where I out strafe and kill the first guy then juke the second and come out with shields still.
Being an unpredictable mad psycho in any halo game is a for sure way to throw enemies off. If they can’t predict your next move whether that be as simple as a strafe or map movement you’ve got the upper hand.
