Hi, I am curiously interested in playing some Halo Reach on the Xbox One, particularly because of the fond experience of fighting along Spartans that had a bit more character and an enjoyable story, than your everyday green super soldier and his blue crew, who only had three levels in Halo 5: Guardians, though most specially because I want to finally “reach” the rank Inheritor (I’m a Reclaimer who’s not too far away)! This brings me to my question that I hope someone here can give some insight on. Prior to getting an Xbox One, I gave away my 360 and all my games, which include my legendary edition Halo Reach copy (oh and Halo 4, where I could play in my sweet Mark V armor). Now, I am wondering, if I go on the internet and buy Halo Reach from the Xbox marketplace, will the game show up on my Xbox One as a title ready to be installed, or will I have to download it first on a 360 and then it will appear on the One, and most importantly, will my original service record appear even though I am not using the original disc I played the game on?
P.S. Halo Reach Anniversary edition 2020
343 if you’re still around, make it happen. It will complete their tribute to the titles of the original developers (and one of the things on my list).
If you get a digital download code/buy it of xbox.com, it will show up on your Xbox One in the “ready to install” section under My games and apps"
No 360 required for that.
Now for your service record and achievements, those will all still be there, but your campaign progress wont among any other things that need to be saved to the xbox 360.

Thanks for your info; campaign progress won’t be an issue with me, as I played through it several times on Legendary and like three times on Mythic/LASO difficulty.
