I am rated top 85% onyx as of right now. The system rite now is entirely based off wins as Ive heard.

Well I have won 20/24 games and thats only worth a bronze?

I mean basically If I have to win alot more thats fine, but I always thought the ratio was based off of the win/loss not the amount of games played/won.

Arena is based off your W/L as well as who you beat. You were probably beating up on players who became or were rated bronze and iron, placing you in bronze. Keep winning to move up, and beat players with ranks higher than yours to get placed higher. You can’t expect an accurate representation of your division placement after only 24 games.

I’m not sure, as I gave up my Arena experimentation last season, but I believe some high level players have complained about there being Trueskill carryover between seasons, meaning if you were placed bronze in previous seasons, you will intially start off matching bronzes atthe beginning of a season. For high level onyx players, these complaints have centered around them still having insanely long wait times to play the same high-level onyx players. By no means have I ever placed there, and I’ve played against high level players in Arena only a couple times and have been promptly curb-stomped, but I remember reading that here or on bnet.

TL;DR: Play more, win more, beat better people than you.

That seems more accurate, my only question is why the system continuously matches me against iron and bronze players, I mean after 10-15 wins it must have seen, hey this guy belongs in silver or gold division, not iron? But it keeps matching me over and over with irons and bronze? Ughh arena…
