Greetings
I have a doubt with the game modes and I hope some one can help me here.
So there are 3 games modes, Classic, Objective and Team death mach mode(I know those aren’t the exact names, but i don’t remember).
So when you play classic, its all like Halo 1(or the closer the game can get to it) but if i play objective mode, this one is suppose to have Reach settings? I player a match in that mode a few days ago and my pistol kick -Yoink-, but still not so much like on Classic mode, but it totally give me the feeling it was working much better than usually when i play modes out of Anniversary modes, it gave me the feeling of a mix between Halo 1 and Reach pistole, so my question is:
When i play the other 2 modes of Anniversary, do I always have Reach settings with NO changes?
And, the pistole there is the classic one of Reach, right?
Thank you very much.
Regards, Zubi Fett.
Well, there are four current “versions” of multiplayer Reach.
- Vanilla
- Title Update
- Anniversary
- Zero Bloom
In Vanilla Reach (appears with no prefix before the name that appears during voting), it is the “classic” Reach. 100% bloom, non-nerfed Armor Lock and Camo, etc. You can currently find this in Invasion, Squad DLC, Team Slayer, and Action Sack!
In Title Update Reach (appears with the “TU” prefix), this is Reach with slightly changed settings, such as reduced bloom, Armor Lock that sheds stickies, and Active Camo lasts for a shorter period. You can find this in the majority of the playlists, except for the Vanilla, MLG, and Anniversary playlists. Well, you CAN find it in Anniversary playlists, but it’s not the only thing you’ll find!
In Anniversary, (appears with “Anv.” prefix), you will have a close version of Halo CE/1, with the 3-shot pistol and the classic maps.
As for Objective/Team deathmatch, you can find those in almost all of the playlists!
You can also have a peek at the official playlists with their gametypes here!
Sorry for the super long post. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions!

Thanks you for the post, very useful, I never knew what those mean at all, it was frustrating not to know what i was playing most of the time.
In fact I have two more question:
What does BTB mean on Anniversary BTB? you can also faint it on Big Team.
Whats this “Bloom” ? Whats Zero Bloom about?
EDIT:
Also, is there any link where i can check what the Title update change?
Thanks very much, I appreciate you take the time to help me, thanks to you I m going to be available to know what I m playing :P.
> Here is a link to all the TU changes
Thank you very much for it
I see the pistole get buffed, glad to know I wasn’t hallucinating.

It’s an abbreviation for “Big Team Battle”. In Anniversary BTB, you play 8v8 matches on the Anniversary maps!

I just realized I completely forgot to outline zero-bloom in my first post. Oops >.< Anyways, bloom is where your reticule (the blue thing in the center of your screen that you aim with) gets bigger when you shoot. It’s a visual representation of how precise your shot is, and the faster you shoot, the bigger it gets! Zero-bloom is where the reticule doesn’t get bigger when you shoot, so you can therefore shoot as fast as the gun allows you to! You can currently find zero-bloom in all of the MLG playlist, and as a gametype in the Super Slayer playlist!
All clear then, thank you very much for everything
May I ask a last question.
What does FFA means, it appears on Anniversary FFA?
Thank you again.
FFA stands for Free For All, so it’s kinda like Rumble Pit, but with Anniversary settings.
I see, but I think it does not have Anniversary settings necessarily.
Thank you :).
