when six is about to destroy the cruser and you dont shoot it when u r supposed to you get the alternate ending try it for yourselfs can be found on any difficulty…
All that happens is the screen goes white and reverts you to the prior checkpoint.
There is no alternative ending.
I used to believe that moa, but I think that bungie “implied” the ending. In the legendary edition there is a letter that a soldier addressed to someone. In the “package” was a statue of noble team composed of all of the members which was supposed to go to a museum. The soldier mentions serving with the soldier who gave him the statue and the oni black box.
Noble 6 is the only soldier missing from that staute. 6 had to have lived through it.

Well, that is certainly a possibility.
Another possibility is that they couldn’t put six on the statue for the simple reason that his armor configuration isn’t pre-determined, and to give six a set of armor that wasn’t the players choice would take away from the overall feeling of the game, as you’d never really feel like six without using his armor.
Granted I could be wrong, but the latter seems more likely to me. The former is certainly a possibility however.

Pretty much what you said, you the player, were Noble Six. Although Noble Six did have a canonical set of armour, Bungie wanted to give you the option to be your own Spartan this time round.

I’m pretty sure it was the rookie armor since it was his default armor and how the story was told from the start, an example Halo 4 had the same feature but still had a default armor like in Reach while allowing people to customise.
