To some Halo: Reach is regarded, as the best campaign. Why not update the game to run at a higher fidelity, and framerate. This would not only excite Halo fans, and bring a whole crowd of them, that haven’t touched Halo in awhile, but also bring a whole new crowd as well as increased replay ability. Every other Halo game has been updated, for the new systems, and Halo: Reach is well worthy of one in the near future.
If you would like to see Halo: Reach be updated, as much as I do, and many others, then you can follow, and place comments on your thoughts. It’s the best way to get us Halo fans thoughts across to 343I.
Thank you, and let’s start a discussion!
This would be better then adding it to mcc
A 4k res update like they did with Halo 3 would be nice, but I’d prefer if they made a 1080/4K 60 FPS standalone version for Reach’s 10th anniversary rather than adding it to MCC.

Exactly, I wouldn’t want to see Reach added to MCC. MCC is already packed with enough 343I has to fix, adding Reach will just complicate it further. I aswell would like to see a Halo: Reach standalone with 1080/4k 60 FPS, this would be great! There is no reason to not have it done, it will not only bring great benefits to players, but also 343I.
I’d be happy with current Reach getting the X Enhanced treatment like Halo 3 did, bumping its resolution to near native 4K, improved anisotropic filtering, texture filtering etc.
Other than that, Reach could be added to MCC if and when the game reaches a stable state but not before then.
Personally, I am not a fan of re-releasing Reach for a 10th Anniversary because I don’t think 343/Microsoft should get into the habbit of constantly re-releasing the Halo games. Where does it end?
Only if it gets a re-release or added to MCC, because in no way will Reach ever get a 60 FPS update because it implies changing codes, which is what Microsoft isn’t aiming to, not to mention that the difference in framerate will radically affect the games and 60 FPS players will get an advantage to 30 FPS players, and trust me, I suffered that with… well a game I’m not allowed to speak of, but in it, my PC can only run it at maximum 40 FPS in minimum settings and I got absolutely ANNIHILATED, barely able to get a kill.
Unless the re-released 60 FPS version gets it’s own servers, in no way will it be possible.

Other than native 4K, improved anisotropic filtering and texture filtering they should really remove the grain filter and the awful motion blur, the game would look so much better and clearer.

For the motion blur, I think it should be an option. I like having the Blur. Makes it more immersive for me and I don’t mind it at all. Why not have different levels of it?
I’ve just gone back to Reach in the past several months. I’m playing firefight almost daily and doing another campaign run on Heroic… I’d love nothing more then to see this game given the royal treatment it deserves.
Best Halo of all imho.
Remember Reach
I would love to see Reach updated too! Although I believe it should not be in the MCC as 117 is not really in the game (laying in a cryo pod does not count IMO). The story, music, and visuals are just great. The ability to customize your Spartan for the campaign was a nice touch. In a way I think Halo 5 tried to emulate the team approach like in Reach as it gets kind of boring being the only super soldier on the field and watching everyone die around you.

I don’t support Reach being added to MCC, but ODST clearly didn’t had any Chief easter egg. At all. Reach had the cryo and the Lone Wolf statue, not to mention that you can accurately replicate how he would look in Reach.

ODST to me was a Halo 3 supplement game. It should never have been a stand alone but I still enjoyed it. I imagine it was semi-included in MCC because it was an easy port after Halo 3 port was done. I did not know about the statue until now. wow kind of neat but ehh.

Well, ODST runs on the Halo 3 code. It’s one of the main reasons why it has a M rating. And Halo 3 got a M rating especially because of the Flood, because otherwise, it looks like a T rated game. So, since Halo 3 has the Flood and ODST runs on the Halo 3 code, it had to, undeniably, get an M rating.

ODST was a quick port to apologise to early adopters for all the issues MCC was having. Since it is using a slightly modified Halo 3 engine, the bulk of the work had already been done, allowing for a quick port for damage control.
Reach’s engine is heavily modified and would have required more effort, hence why ODST was chosen to be given as damage control.

Yeah, I know perfectly why.
same would love a halo reach 60 fps, it is the best halo game, so many new and fun things. And thats coming from a diehard fan who read the books, movies and played all games till 4. (like i would play a game without chief pfff)
