I have downloaded the latest version of Halo Master Chief Edition through xbox game pass. Every time I need to open a portal (with RB button), it launches the Halo channel. Once the video ends, I get kicked back to the halo pause Menu. When I resume the gameplay, the portal is not open, and once again, if I press RB to open the portal, it launches halo channel AGAIN. I can keep doing this forever and the portal never opens. I have been able to get past a few missions by just ending the game, since the portals are usually at the end of the mission. However, on mission 8 “Two betrayals” the portal is at the beginning of the mission, which means I wont be able to play this mission. Please help, I purchased a hard copy of the game, installed the 70+GB update, didnt work. Then I completely uninstalled it, purchased game pass, downloaded it from there and it still didn’t work. Finally, I purchased a new console, from Xbox one S to the Xbox one X, and it still doesn’t work! This took place between 11/22/18 and 11/25/18
If I’m understanding correctly, are you expecting the terminals to open up to lead to another area? If that’s the case, that won’t happen. Those things you’re describing are terminals, designed purely for some added story by showing you some videos. Based on what you described, they seem to be functioning exactly as intended.
