Halo: Point of Light by Kelly Gay releases March 2nd 2021, continuing the story of Rion Forge, 343 Guilty Spark (now just ‘Spark’), and the Ace of Spades crew.
But before it sits comfortably in your hands (and lives rent-free in your minds), Kelly sat down with me to talk about this momentous new release.
Herein lies some hints of what’s to come, along with Kelly’s unique authorial insight into the stories, characters, and themes of the Halo universe.
Grab a mug and pull up a chair, Spartans!

Excellent interview. Really enjoyed it. Meant to comment on the blog, but will put it here:
You say here (and in your spoiler free-preview) that we can all guess which Halo is shown on the cover. I’ll confess, I initially made the wrong guess as regards that as I hadn’t appreciated that Point of Light was pre-Halo Wars 2 which does rather narrow it down somewhat (unless the story spans more time)

I did think I’d be a bit cheeky there because I’d see a lot of debate about whether it was Installation 03, 05, 07, or 09

Well that’s more than half of them you cheeky minx you!
As Amazon aren’t giving me the Kindle or Paper copy until 09 March because ‘reasons’ and I never do a first read on audiobook I’ll just have to wait another week…
Installation 05 seems least likely to me as Spark would have no reason to go there again that I can think of.
Installation 03 would only make sense if his hunt for the Librarian led him to Composer’s Forge which seems unlikely.
So by process of elimination… I’m now guessing Installation 07
Unless the story lasts long enough that Installation 09 is a possibility…
