> 24 is the absolute max. I really can’t understand why everyone has always wanted to see a player count increase in Halo. It’s a smaller shooter… It isn’t Battlefield or Homefront. If you make Halo a 64 player game all of a sudden 4v4 no longer exists and 8v8 or 10v10 is the smallest player count playlist in the game. The maps would all increase in size because of this. The small amount of arena shooter left in Halo would be completely killed off. I’m absolutely against upping the player count in the basic Halo game.

> The absolute ONLY way I would agree with Halo getting a 64 player count playlists is if it was an entirely different game sitting aside the currently offered Halo. If 343 want’s to hire a company to make a large scale Halo game then I’m all for it. Just don’t let it ruin what we have with Halo now.
I would think that if Halo was ever to increase to 64 players. That maps used for this, would be like the Halo REACH Forge World.
That the 1 map, can be split into multiple maps to allow 4v4 and 8v8 game types.
You would still have maps made that are designed for 4v4 only.
I think 32 would be perfect, and still like to see 64 players. But by having a higher player count would not break Halo.
Ever since Halo CE, which only had 2 large maps for BTB. I have played with 16 players. And BTB with 16 players is fun, I think more players would equal more fun. More things can happen.
Add vehicles like the Scarab and Mammoth and other larger vehicles would make Halo insane.
Halo 4v4 would remain and always will be a important part of Halo MultiPlayer. The increase in player count would only mean is that you get some bigger maps.
I don’t maps like BF where it takes 5 mins to get to the other side of the map, maps like Sand Trap, Containment and Water Works are perfect.
Maps like Halo 2 Containment and Water Works and Halo 3 Sand Trap could easily support 32 players as they are now.
Maybe a new playlist, or a evolved Invasion Play list could be used for the 24, 32 or 64 player count games.
A spawning system, where you could spawn and land in drop-pods would be pretty cool.
The higher player count, and bigger maps can allow Halo to evolve and do things that have not been done yet.
The 4v4 would still remain and be as popular as any other Halo game. This would only affect BTB game types. And still the standard 8v8 BTB can remain.
