Hey-o! Bet you never expected to see a clan built around screenshots. And, well, you’d have a good reason for that.
The Halo Photography Collective is not a clan, but rather a new initiative to inspire a new generation of screenshot artists. Throughout Halo 3 and Reach there have been many, many artists, but when 343 took over and the game began to revolve more around competitive play, screenshots started to suffer.
Although it’s a long shot to try to and revive the desire to make screenshots, I think it’s worth shooting for. Now I want to use my experiences from the past several years to help new artists learn tricks that will give them a solid foundation for taking screenshots. So to do this I have written up some effect tutorials and basic walkthroughs and recruited some people who are willing to offer up constructive criticism. I think that it’s very important to have a decent amount of members so that we can have constant feedback flowing through the group.
If you have ever been interested in making screenshots. If you have ever wondered how in the heck the artists do what they do. If you have ever just wanted to take a break from matchmaking- you should join this community.
The Halo Photography Collective is based on bungie.net because… Retro.
Even if you don’t really ever want to take a single picture on Halo, you are still free to join. We would love to pick up more members because we will always need more people to comment on others’ works. Thank you!
