Halo Pc Optimization

the halo infinite multiplayer for pc need more optimization because is using the 90% of the CPU and the 50% of the GPU

On my config : Ryzen 3600x 16 gb RAM ,RTX 2060 super i have only 67 fps max in multiplayer on medium settings ((( I play in Call of Duty Cold war ,on hight settings , and have 120-130 fps, and besides, in Cold war better image in the game. Guys, you need some optimization work.

That in itself could be absolutely fine, for instance if you’re running a competitive game at low settings - that’s exactly what you’d want to see in many cases.
I assume this is combined with low framerates in-game though that aren’t really affected by changing the settings? Because that’s the case with my setup…

trying to run it at 1440p on a 2070 Super is nearly impossible. At 1440p Ultra I get around 35-45 frames. At 1440p everything low, I get around 50. I’ve had to drop to 1080p and then also drop everything to medium just to get anywhere close to 60fps.

I am maxing out at 40 fps lol, but mainly floating around 20-30. I thought it was because I wanted to run it on 1440p (3440x1440)so i switched to my 1080p monitor and same thing.

I’m sure it’ll need to be more optimized… low or ultra same FPS of 20-40 lol. If it locked at 30 at least it would be playable. I wonder if its becasue I’m more AMD?

I see some folks with more playable rates and I should be more than able. Ryzen 7 5800x / 6900XT / 32GB RAM

I admit that I don’t have an amazing pc but it is definitely not low end and I’m getting maximum 40 fps, and that’s if I fiddle with the settings and turn everything down. I can literally go from Red Dead Redemption 2 (like come on have you seen how it looks) and get amazing fps and 0 lag but then I load up this flight and can’t even get to 60 fps??? I understand that this is the first flight and I really hope they fix it, but this has me worried about Halo Infinite’s optimization in the future.

Yes, with optimization on PC , so far, a complete failure…

I remember MCC was pretty bad before… its gotten really good lately (IMO) from an optimization point of view so I have faith it will be fixed. Let’s just hope they do it before launch though or else it’ll get trashed on release as per the other PC Halos. The problem seems to be the inconsistency. Some people have lower PC’s with better FPS and others with higher end and lower fps so shrugs lol.

Hi, optimization is bad. I have I7 9700K 4.9 Ghz all Core, AMD 6900XT {Driver 21.6.1}, 32Gb RAM. High Setting 25-55 FPS. GPU usage 30% - 90%. Resolution 1440p.
Now the game stuck with purple pixels across the screen!
The strange thing is that the game sometimes uses 99 percent of my GPU, but the consumption is only 155W out of 300W.

The game is one of the worst optimized games I have played in a long time, even if it’s an older build this makes me very concerned about how the game is going to perform at launch. 1080p and I can barely manage 60fps, on medium with a 5700 XT and a 2600X? Yeah, no, that’s an optimization issue.

I wonder if its an AMD thing? If this thread is of any accuracy seems the few users who are having issues are on AMD cards. Though… the 5700XT user above me seems be fairing better than our 6900XTs lol.

I see a lot of people complaining about low performance even with 3090’s. My performance is pretty bad, my system is pretty high-end (5900XT CPU / 6700XT GPU/ 64GB RAM, Latest drivers, etc) and it seems like the quality is the same no matter what settings I change. Low/Medium/High/Ultra settings all yield a result of around 50fps with terrible visuals.

Yep from a prevous post also have issues with a 6900XT; otherwise pretty close to yours (5800x / 32GB) and pretty much average 25. it’s not so much the FPS but its the up and down. First flight, it’ll hoipefully get better. That’s why they have these.

It’s a pre release software of course the optimization is bad. That comes later in game development.

But hey it works alright on my 3080 even if I can only get 70-80 fps on high settings 1440p

This is also my experience so far, settings have ZERO bearing on performance. It really seems like they had one build for the game, put it out and left the settings to where they dont actually affect the game. Low, Medium, High, Ultra all give me the same fps in the game. Im averaging around 63 in the menus and 80-85 in game. Even at that frame rate the game feels jittery and not actually smooth.

I’ve also noticed quite a few settings get reverted back to default upon closing the game out and reopening it.

The UI also seems like it could use a bit more refinement, there are several clicks that are unnecessary like when applying a armor coating, instead of just being able to hover over the item and equip it, you have to select it, click the item, then equip it. Its minor but there are several instances this happens.

Specs
CPU: 9900k @5ghz all core
GPU: EVGA 3080ti
Ram: 32gb 3333mhz
Resolution: 3840 x 2160
Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ

So the game seems to natively use some type of resolution scaling based on what you set you minimum FPS to. If you toggle off VSYNC you can enter a custom limit. This doesn’t fix optimization by any means but you can at least see over 60 fps by playing around with the setting. I can stay in the 70s while keeping the quality decent 90s if you crank it and deal with a blurry game. Frametime needs to be looked over. Don’t know if this really matters for this right now. Halo games always seem to be smooth I can’t see this not being fixed in the long run. I have a 5800x with a 2080 32gb ram. I see atmax 80% cpu on 1 core occasionally with mostly 50% gpu usage across the board if not lower. There isn’t any settings that truly affect the fps or really quality much that I notice anyway besides min FPS limit. The FOV slider constantly resets which is annoying. I for 1 am not a fan of the system handling my resolution scaling. I want that to be my choice do not leave this in the game to not be changed by the user.

Nearly the same setup, but 16GB Ram 3600mhz. Hitting the same FPS on all settings. Randomly get locked down to like 18fps the longer the game goes and won’t go any higher. Completely unplayable for me. Runs like a dream and looks gorgeous on my series x though, so I know it can be done hah.

edit: playing on latest adrenaline drivers. Newer than whatever they were recommending.

I have 64 gb of ram a i9 processor and 3090 gtx gpu, . Averaging around 100 on main menu and ingame on the openmap 80 to 100

All on ultra

If you guys are having fps issues because of optimization make sure you make a support ticket so the devs will know.
