I decided to create this post to talk a little about the path that halo is going through.
Some years ago when I played Halo 1/2 later 3 / odst later reach, I noticed that from halo 1 to the two there was an evolution in the gameplay and in the story, everything became more polished and deep in history, being that 3, in the my opinion should not have finished with the story, I think they focused too much on the master cheef, something that was still accentuated in the halo 4/5, okay that is an iconic image of halo, it was he that made us feel the story, but I think that now it is too much spent for the role, being that always focuses on him or indirectly in him, he seems a god / rambo, halo and much more than that, halo and a universe of possibilities of stories in series or parallel, we little we know about the foreruners, the constructurs, the other species, the flood, I think they should focus more on long-term history, halo in the beginning was this, “what comes next from 1 or 2” was how we should think in a game, a story continues, with different experiences, different planets different weapons, different abilities, and different species to play, history must be taken to a different level, where they could create interplanetary wars, multiplayer made more sense, (something to the genre of destiny1 / 2/3) to bungie knew and knows that the story and the important metal, not the character, halo I think if it were not for microsoft, it would be more like destiny now, with many more possibilities, let’s see destiny, has many similar elements, but with more possibilities of gameplay, they did not focus only on a character, an argument …
halo I hope you go to the side of the story and have more exotic environments, with large areas, weapons, planets, ships, and to be master.
What do you think it should be?
It is probably best they finish his story respectfully in infinite and at the same time open up a new chapter to continue the series.
I think the focus on Chief is good, you feel connected to the story. Destiny feels meaningless, I don’t wish for Halo to take the same path. Maybe for a spin off, but mainline Halo should be very narrative focused with iconic characters. They’ll have to eventually move on from Chief, and I think his story might even end in Infinite, but I hope he gets replaced by someone worthy, or even multiple characters, nothing like the faceless character you play in Destiny, that game is meant to give a different experience than Halo.
Halo in some things and different undoubtedly, the line of history and more consistent, but in my opinion it gets very centered on chief, making that species as foreruners are nothing to the edge of it and a joke, because the story tells that Foreruners are soon Beneath the contrutors and humans after the Fureruners have limited their intelligence and that appear but much down on the list. And Halo also can’t focus on a game to tell the story. Destiny if not for Activision we had a consistent history, so it walks a little lost, but the gameplay and Halo 1/2/3, note if even, and Halo should have worlds to explore, weapons, ships be more comprehensive in the possibilities, Halo seems call of duty… Something that the story does not ask…
the best thing would be to continue the story of the master chief, to complement so many holes in the history left by H4 and H5 and what I think is more important is a good development of characters! in H5 this is disgusting, the characters say the same words over and over again, you do not feel at ease with them and you do not even know a bit of their history
I agree with the above that they should finish the chief’s story before moving on. I would like to see some forerunner spinoffs however.
I believe they will finish the story of Mchief, I think that is enough… As I said before Halo exists because of the war of the fureruners and precursors, give birth to the flood to fight the foreruners in a destructive way… But if they do not follow a broader history in the universe that give space to new species narratives worlds, Halo will always be the Rambo of the Master Chief.
Whether or not they will finish Chiefs story for now, they’re going to expand stories all over the Halo universe.
Sounds bad, but I would be okay if they finished up with Master Chief already. They really in my opinion could have stopped at 4. They are pushing out Halo’s too slowly to really drag on Halo revolving around an aging spartan, and his malfunctioning AI.
I think that with the budget that Microsoft offered for the game, it will be for the game to continue always in development, but I hope that space to new worlds new dimensions.
As for halo 4/5 I notice that with the bungie’s exit the gameplay has lost, before I felt that the weapon had a special relationship with the player, felt the shot, now in the last two, the shot seems hollow, hollow, without claw … In destiny I notice that, I have a gun that I do not change because she’s crazy to shoot, “misfit” and her name, and that repaired in the halo 1/2/3, the pistol gave a lot of pica shoot … now looks like a pintball thing.
Once again if you see that Halo has stopped in time, I believe that doing a reboot the Serie helps to give a refresh the Serie and start something new, but it seems to me that they are going to do almost everything the same, with nothing new… I continue to say that there is a lack of mystery and the intuitions of the past, I think that Halo has to adapt, the story remains simple with some simple, I think that once again it was a joho de point A-well missions of history…
Prequels are always an option. If they wrap up MC’s story in Infinite, they can always go back to him as a child getting abducted for the spartan program. I doubt It would be anything like the mainline halo games, it might have more of a God of War 4 feel, third person, shaky aim controls because he is a child, and brutal hand to hand combat. Slowly that would evolve throughout the story until they are running missions in the Mk4 armor. Hell they can end the game where Reach last shows him. Getting into a cryo pod and being loaded onto the Pillar of Autumn.
I do agree though. If they can end the Chiefs story respectfully in Infinite, then thats great. If Infinite sparks another trilogy based off of the cortana events and consequences, I wouldn’t be too upset, but at some point the Chiefs story has got to come to an end.
the last trailler will be the same, I’m playing halo 4 and never thought it was so weak … the gameplay is the worst … I think they should match the gameplay patent to bungie … because they can’t get it right like them…

Yeah but the master chief is literally why people love halo. The lore is great and all, and I think it should be explored more in new halo games, but taking the master chief out of the picture isn’t the way to do it. The Spartan IIs are still ridiculously young. Also I disagree with your thoughts on halo 4. The movement is super smooth and the aiming and weapons all feel top notch. The abilities and randomness of perks and what not are what ruined Halo 4 from being a better game. Halo 4 more than reach or even halo 3 felt closer to the original halo games with regard to aiming and weapons, and movement if you exclude sprint.
Halo MCC coming to PC will add a lot of people who may never have been able to play before. So the Chief will be new to them and if the majority like him that would be like getting a new Iron Man and Thanos killing him, instead of over 10 years all in the course of 1. Honestly I love chief, everything is focused on him because he’s who people want to see. Until the new generation of halo players from PC get tired of him they probably won’t kill him off. And to be fair there’s way more people with PCs than Xbox ones. You may have played halo for a long time and are tired of it but think about all the people who are just starting. I would love to see a game get back to Human Covenant War but I don’t know. Bungee started at the end XD kind of like George Lucas. But where they stopped leaves paths both forward and backwards for opportunities. However I can say for certain that Taking the chief out of a game in favor of others won’t really bode well. You loved ODST but it’s not a separate story it’s the same story told from a different perspective. Halo Reach (love the story of the game, was really good) you saw Master Chief at the end on the Autumn, and you got Cortana to him. Also Masterchief and all Spartan IIs age slower than normal humans because of their augmentations. An awesome video I recommend (because it really is cool) is Installation00’s “Most Detailed Spartan II augmentations” goes in depth into them in a really cool way.
Look at the article below and comment and share please, 2 great ideas for Halo Infinite gameplay.
I agree that MasterChef has an important role, but not of God!!! It and too central in history, everything rotates around it, Halo 1, 2, 3 and Reach had a mystery, little but already had, started to play and did not know what would unfold in history, now and more of the same… Rambo chief pops up kills everything in the end he and the hero who disappears always… And then appears in Halo infinite or Halo forever or Halo chief the Resurrection, this is nothing, what has insured halo are the fans, they have not brought new players, and I compare destiny, because the control of the weapon (gameplay) is 10 stars , Microsoft should rent Destiny Gameplay rights… And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, play Halo 1, 2, 3 and then destiny and then play Halo 4 and 5, missing anything, firing weapons is not emotion proximity realism. The weapons are cold in Halo 4 and 5.
My opinion on the video!!
After some time of having left the gameplay of halo infinit I went back to see to have a firmer opinion on the game…
The game is good.
The gameplay seems to me very firm robust and simple.
The animations of the characters are very realistic, to the point of having shots at the foot of the character and she unbalances, even parace that stumbles on something …
The shots are more hit, shootand hit, the feeling that hit … that feeling in Halo 1.
There are elements in nature dynamic, and the effects of physics seem quite simple.
As for the graphics are raw, simple light effects, has no terrain or surfaces in LOD BIAS, a pity because it made everything more realistic, RT effects also do not have.
Sound could be more “felt” with more body, the sane of the weapons seem to be too treble, lack them muscle.
The big problem, the story, I keep saying that Master C should die or disappear and make way for other characters.
Because halo and very very much much much more than that, you can always enjoy ZETA Halo and blow it all up.
Create halo, builder and forerunners and the thousands of species that exist, and tell the story down to the HALO invention created by the forerunners to end the flood.
For what disappoints me in the game and back to fight the brutes, a kind without any purpose but to dominate.
The mystery of the inventions is missing, the expectation of what comes.
Think about it.
I’d like to see Chief’s arc come full circle, from when it started in Halo 4.
What do you mean, you don’t know?
What exactly do you mean?
