Halo Original or Remastered Soundtrack

Since i didn’t see this, I wanted to ask every a simple question? Your choice. Which version of CE Soundtrack would you listen to?

I have the original on my computer, it’s way better than the remastered version. Much like how star wars fans will say they preferred the old jub jub song at the end of return of the jedi to the new age crap george lucas implemented in the remastered version.

I like the remake more, but the original brings back the best memories =)

> I like the remake more, but the original brings back the best memories =)

True.

I prefer the remastered version. Give a classic a touch up.

Both

The original is far better. The remastered soundtrack doesn’t sound very good at all.

The Original I find more fitting in the game. Recognize it instantly

The Re-mastered one I really love to just Listen to. Play the Vinyl one and really Listen.

But I play Halo CEA with the Re-mastered on.

Graphics and OST from the same time.

I like both but prefer the original.

To Sleep is the only remastered one that I enjoy. Everything else is easily classic.

Both some sound different so i kinda like the older one more.

Musically, the quality of the remastered version is often diminished.

Note lengths are often terribly out of place, and some of the orchestra sections sound much less full than their midi counterparts, which is odd.

The one track which stands out as being a genuine improvement, is Cloaked In Blackness, which is a clear upgrade on Under Cover Of Night.

If you want to avoid feeling disgusted, I suggest you avoid listening to the remastered versions of the Halo theme, and Covenant Dance. Just… Trust me.

Some of the remastered is better, but if you play Truth and Reconciliation you’ll realize how much better the Original is for that level.

And YAY! A new thread in the CE section, awesome!

EDIT: Aw man, necropost again. I always get my hopes up too =(

Yes, yes, the original is the best but you CANNOT beat a REAL orchestra. I frankly…HATE the Midi, in every way.

I mostly prefer the new one. There are a few tracks on the new one that don’t match up “note for note” as they claim to, and the new Rock Anthem for Saving the World should never have happened.

Original.

Nuff said.

Me too.
