LOL
Halo Online is almost in the same boat with the Halo TV series…
Although it’s exclusive for Russia there are some way to play it. A few months ago I tried out the ElDewrito kind of solution. The game worked, but finding a match was very tough. And sometimes it was slow. Eventually I played a few match. I was upset, since MS and 343 plays with the PC, and they can’t give a release a normal Halo game on PC. (I know Halo Wars 2 will come to Win10, but since Halo 2, Halo Online would be a great. And don’t say to me that Spartan Assualt and Strike were released on PC, because those 2 game are mobile games) so I deleted the game.
And wtf is that logic? Making a Halo game for multiplayer but only in Russia? Go and f…no nevermind…it’s a total joke, and from the worst one.
It’s a Russia Exclusive PC game but there are several ways to play it here in the US. Its basically Halo 3 for PC with elements of Halo 4 and Halo 5 mixed in and some reskinned maps. Its pretty cool

It was a closed beta. Saber Interactive is a Russian developer, and rather than hosting a world wide beta they preferred a small scale one in their language. I’m sure if the game was finished it would have released world wide.
Also as of a few days ago the 2015 build has been scrapped. I don’t think it’s coming back.

That sucks… That had huge potential. Well, same thing happened with Call of Duty Online…
Yeah, not every project can pan out. Online did look good but maybe it’s just the right time for it now, always potential to see it resurface down the line or something else to take its place

Seems like an odd rule. Forgive me for thinking this, but isn’t that kind of like saying, “-Yoink- the community that keeps this game alive!” The community makes mods, videos, films, and other media to keep their hobbies and interests alive. Some mods take years to make, shutting them down seems like an odd rule if you want a community to thrive. I don’t mean for this to come off as an attack on you for upholding a rule, but it’s a thought.
inb4 criticizing a rule is against the rulesAlso, I understand that this specific mod is really in a grey legal area, but my question is more for general content creation (Halo Custom Edition and such).
There are some areas that can be discussed, like the Sins of the Prophet mod - that was discussed in Cannon Fodder a short while back. Things like Halo Online are off limits because it’s essentially pirated content - not intended to be in the hands of those who have it. Things like modding Reach to give inheritor or changing service tags on Halo 3 are also not permitted as it breaks Xbox live terms of service. I don’t believe Halo Custom edition falls under this rule, I may be wrong. My comments were mainly aimed at those discussing the modded version of Halo Online
