Is the overall performance of halo 5 (lag, graphics, frames per second, etc) better on Xbox one x than Xbox one s or original Xbox one?
I don’t see why Halo 5 would experience a quality drop on the “X” as opposed to the “S” and the original console. That would be fortune cookie nonsense.

We can only hope they include Halo 5. From the list at E3 they only showed Halo Wars 2 in the list. Knowing that Halo made Xbox and how much Halo means to them I think they would of included it. Seeing they didn’t seems pretty sure to me Halo 5 isn’t getting that 4k update. But an official list hasn’t been talked about yet, Halo 5 could get the update… but it’s less likely to.
I don’t think a 4K H5 would be a major priority for 343. They need to move forward on H6 and make it the best it can be. H5 will become the new MCC with zero support.
Doesn’t seem like it’s getting a 4k update, but it should benefit from the extra ram, processing power and GPU power, so it should run better than on original Xbox One and the S, since H5 uses dynamic resolution scaling. Since they say H6 is so far off, I think it is ridiculous that they are not updating for the X. I realize it would be additional work, but would be nice…
They should include Halo 5 in the 4k lineup for the Xbox 1 X. I assumed it was already included. Why should I drop $1,300 on a new 4k T.V. and another $500 for a Xbox One X when one of the only games I will play is not included? They better make sure Halo 5 makes the freakin list. The only other game that I care about is Shadow of War and I guess that was already announced.
Forge maps will play alot better i assume. On the XBONE they tend to feel laggy.

Aaaanyway, I doubt Halo 5 will get an update. It’s already near the end of its life.

Scorpio was the internal project name - when Microsoft originally announced it it was a little out of precedent, as we usually wouldn’t get much info on this (outside of leaks). For the global market the name had to change, need to be careful with licensing and trademarks. The actual announcement was made at E3 last week

I think 343 thought ahead when they made halo 5 because of the “variable resolution”. everything is designed to hit 60 frames per second no matter what but the graphics will diminish if there is a lot going on in the game at once. but the xbox one x will be able to handle a lot more at once therefore halo 5 will still hits 60fps as it always has but it will also be able to look a lot better…especially if a 4K update is provided
Even though it’s not said it’s going to have a 4K update, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did add one. It probably will be like what Xbox is doing with backwards compatability games right now, just constantly adding games to the list over time.

I don’t think a 4k update is high on their list. They are focused on not making another flop. Halo sales have been declining since 343. I hope H6 redeems this. Outside of graphics it should run more smooth. At one point I remembered something mentioned about Halo 5 preforming better on the X but I am not sure in what sense.
At the very least, Halo 5 should run at full 1080p, 60fps, 100% of the time on the One X. It currently drops resolution, and has several other concessions to hit the 60fps target. And it still fails to hit it on some forge maps, they sometimes feel extremely laggy.
But if it were to be patched to allow a higher resolution, and perhaps get rid of some of the visual artifacts, the game could look a lot better. The only thing is, I think it may give an advantage to the players with the One X and 4k TV. They’d be able to see enemies more clearly at a distance, and the higher framerate could possibly give them better control. Just a thought.

Not really. H5 will be two years old when Xbone X comes out. HW2 makes sense because it’s their current focus.

You can get a perfect fine 4K tv for half that price, but still halo 5 needs a 4K update if they are still rolling out maps and other updates.
I want a 70 inch 4k thats why its around 1,300 bucks. I am loyal to brand names its gotta be vizio or nothing. I go to work and play Halo 5 and care to do NOTHING else. So its kinda important I have the best, I am laughing but its all truth I speak. I know you guys will bash me say my life is sad for a young man on and on and on. Its nothing parents have not told me a thousand times before so please do not waste your breath LoL.
