Halo on Ps3

why dont they make halo for ps3. i mean they will make so much more money and more people will buy it.

Because Microsoft owns Halo.

This cracked me up…not sure why.

Because they forced Bungie out of it do to contracts.

That’s like asking why don’t they make Super Mario Bros. for the 360.

More isn’t always better. I am fine with it being an exclusive. It is why I have an Xbox, and will continue to…well as long as the next Halo doesn’t disappoint.

Well sir, because Halo and Xbox are both owned by Microsoft.

Nevertheless, ROFL

I’m not too sure that having a flagship franchise available on your firmest competitor’s product is a very good way to increase your own sales…

Because it would be too difficult to control all the modders and hackers on the PlayStation systems.

Why that’s GENIUS idea!

Okay, all that aside, there isn’t much to be said then what has already been said. Halo is strictly a Microsoft (Xbox) franchise. It’s also the reason why I’m going to buy a Xbox One. If Halo moves onto Sony as well, people like me would say, “Hey! Same game! Cheaper console! SOLD!” But I’m a MS loyalist 'til the end. Only if Halo 5 releases this year.

jk…

Because it’s Microsofts property. They’ll never allow Sony to have Halo.

Microsoft owns the rights to Halo and has no affiliation to Sony, so Halo will most likely never switch over to Playstation.

Dude what?

> Because they forced Bungie out of it do to contracts.

Ummm…no, Bungie were never forced out of anything. Bungie were just the developer who were contracted by Microsoft to create 5 games in the Halo franchise. This gave us Halo 1-3, ODST and Reach. Bungie’s development exclusivity contract with Microsoft officially ended in 2007, but since they still hadn’t developed the 5 games by this time, they were still legally obliged to do so.

So yeah, Microsoft never forced them out, their development contract ended. And since Microsoft have owed all copyrights and licensing to the Halo franchise since they acquired Bungie in 2000, Microsoft ultimately decide what happens to the franchise, and not Bungie.

Because Halo is, first and foremost, Microsoft’s. Also because you ungrateful -Yoinks!- get Destiny content early, so suck it up and quit whining.

To add on, Bungie could have easily renewed their contract with Microsoft, but decided that they didn’t want to, therefore, Halo going to 343 is just as much Bungie’s fault as it is MS.

yeah sure , Microsoft will release Halo for PS when Sony releases God of war and Uncharted and Last of us for Xbox …
