Halo OG Emblems & Military Rank In Infinite?

I’m not sure about this so I thought I’d ask the question incase anyone already knew the answers to this but are the old custom emblems and military rank level up going to be in Halo Infinite? I much preferred the old system rather than having already made emblems given to you like in Halo 5 which was pretty awful if you ask me. Also I miss the original Military ranking system rather than being numbered every time you level up, just felt a lot more unique when someone asked you what your rank was rather than what level are you if you know what I mean.

There hasn’t been any mention on either of those two subjects to my knowledge. I would really hope the OG player emblems will make it back with proper customization options for those.

I don’t believe there’s any official word in this but I assume the emblems may be presets again to be honest.
By looking at the Monster EnergyPromotion rewards they offer emblems within that. That leads me to believe the emblem system will probably be identical to Halo 5.
Nameplates also exist within the Monster Energy rewards too so I assume we’ll be able to select our own nameplates & emblems but not create an emblem like in the older games. A sort of hybrid of MCC & Halo 5.

I really hope that isn’t the case, it’s bad enough that they took away colors, it would be stupid of them to take away emblem customization as well. And what could they possibly add to emblems that would ‘‘supposedly’’ make up for it? I just don’t see them getting away with the same excuse nor the excuse that they wanted them for “Microtransactions” as other games have managed to make them microtransactions while still making them customizable.

Numbers are fine. The military ranks in MCC don’t make any sense and some of them are conpletely made up. One day I’m a gold captain, the next day I get demoted to a blue private first class because I went on an additional deployment? Also, I’m more likely to remember that I’m rank 106 than I am to remember that I’m a turquoise second lieutenant.

As long as my precious Hand of the Didact emblem is on, idc what is added. Although I doubt theyd keep out the most popular emblems like the Spartan Helmets or the wasp. But I wouldnt expect stuff like the bulldog or less used emblems of H5.

And it’s not just that I can’t remember what I am.

I have no idea what you are. Are you a couple of ranks above me… or heaps. NFI.

I agree with you to some extent, this MCC military rank issue is 343’s mess up. In the original Halo 3/Halo Reach games the military rank system actually worked perfectly and that’s what I’m referring to.

True, the Halo 3 and Reach ranks were interesting and visually appealing as well. As someone who played a decent amount of Halo multiplayer, I can say that a Five-star General and an Inheritor is far superior than SR 152 imho.

MCC ranks aren’t perfect, but they are a nice callback to many of the popular ranks from legacy Halo titles. The simple numbered ranks of Halo 4 & 5 have been largely railed against since their implementation, especially following the unique ranks of Halo 3 & Reach.

LOL this all day. I honestly dont know what any of those are and who came up with the look/styling/coloring of the ranks. I just assume the more color and nonsense crammed into it, the higher the rank…couldn’t tell you anymore than that.
