So I googled halo infinite and it said it will be released on Dec 31st. I’m confused. Are they releasing new content ?
No whenever a game says its getting released on Dec. 31st doesn’t mean thats its official date of release. Its used more as a place holder date until there is an official release date.

343 to my knowledge doesn’t have anything in mind for the 31st. I think they’re still on Holiday break until next week. Like ImperialOne said, it’s probably just a placeholder date.

As Imperial One pointed out it’s a place holder. instead of saying holiday season which can be anywhere from October to December, this date is usually the day they would like to have it launch on all platforms by. Otherwise, you would see spring of 2022… ext. They did this for other halo titles in the past. Originally on the xbox 360 store halo 4 and 5 were listed date wise the same way. Most dates on games will change between may and around the time of the E3 convention. The Kingdom Hearts series was notorious for this. However, the good news is in the past 8 years most companies that use Dec 31s usually drop DLC the following year. In this case many still want CO OP and Forge features. Some are asking for fire fight ext.
