Introducing the second ODST which may or may not be a sequel to Halo 3 ODST. It truly would be a huge, huge step forward for 343 industries. The infinite possibilities of pure goodness. If you haven’t played Halo 3 ODST, it is a literal masterpiece in every aspect possible, this is an understatement. With Sadie’s story told in the 30 audio logs, which teaches us about our surroundings: Mombasa’s dark and perfectly crafted atmosphere. With the soundtrack that makes me cry and groove to the beautiful Jazz at the same time, and the eerie yet curious unknown sounds of engineers mixed with the music. Perfection. You’ve missed a lot. On another note ODST armour in Halo 5 should not be affiliated with spartan armour and should look just like the slimmer and marine coloured metal, with the flame pattern and ONI insignia, bad -Yoink-.
Let me say it again, this would be a huge step forward. You should have worked on this before Halo 5 or 6, you can only go fotward with this project. Bungie has done the hard part.
I do hold out hope that this will happen one day. With fireteam raven released and the ODST DLC in halo wars 2, plus the new ODST book Halo: bad blood you can deffinitely see it’s still on 343’s mind and there is a fan base for it.

Thanks for the information, I didn’t even know that much. I’m a huge Halo nerd, but I don’t read the books, because I can’t get my hands on them sadly. But I will try. Thanks for the heads up.
I really enjoyed ODST. It was a refreshing spin off to the main series. The dynamic between switching from the quiet, slower paced solo Rookie missions to the action packed missions with the rest of the squad was SO good. Would love another one in the same vein following a different squad and it would be a good opportunity to go full classic gameplay considering you’d be an ODST, not a spartan, and make the vet fans happy.

> Is it going to be a different squad? The ODST squad members we played in H3: ODST wither dies, became Insurrectionists, or became Spartan-IVs.
I think Bad Blood set up the possibility for an ODST sequel that is set around Alpha Nine (re-imagined as Spartan IVs of course). The ending where Buck discusses how the band is back together and running ops after the release of the Guardians opens the possibility for an incredible story

I do not like the idea of Buck becoming a Spartan IV or a game were the ODSTs are Spartan IV’s. A huge part of ODST was the fact that you weren’t a super soldier. And I know your just telling me the most likely scenario, but I’m just saying I don’t like the way they split the squad without reason and made Buck a Spartan. I completely agree with what you have said though, it is unlikely these ideal possibilities will occur and yes it would still be an incredible story. But how could they make anything more perfect then Mombasa Streets’s atmosphere and Sadie’s story. They can’t.
