I bought and downloaded the MCC when it first came out and had a lot of fun playing all the different campaigns. I was also amoung the group of people that were given Halo 3:ODST free of charge, due to your support of the game during its “difficult period”. It was a move I was very greatful for and showed 343 truly cared about the halo fanbase. At one point I accidentally uninstalled Halo MCC trying to make room for other content but when I tried to re-download it I discovered my disk was damaged and it would not download beyond 74%. I didn’t have the cash at the time to buy another disk so that was the end of it for a while. With the recent update, I was encouraged to look for another disk and purchased a second hand copy for a good price. The game downloaded perfectly and my profile still worked on the new disk, but to my surprise I no longer had access to Halo: 3:ODST. I assumed, that because I had access to it before I uninstalled, that that content would still be given to me when I re-installed from another disk.
Is this intentional? Do I need to re-aquire additional content again if I use a second disk of the same game?
Thank you for any help you can give me, I’m sort of clueless on what to do here!
Well, ODST should be linked to your profile, not to your copy of the game.
Try searching on the store halo 3 odst: if it is ‘bought’ or if you have to pay it 4,99 ( i think 4,99 ).
If you have to buy it, you should try to insert you former cd ( the broken one ) and to see if odst can be donwloaded from the campaign main menu. I suggest this because, MAYBE ( i don not think so ), maybe odst is linked to you older cd ( the broken one ), and, inserting it, would give you full access to it.
This works if:
-your old cd still works to play and have problems only with the installation ( but in this case you have the game installed yet )
-odst is actually linked to the cd that played during the ‘hard times’ of mcc
Anyone on odst

Highlight the MCC game tile, hit the Menu button, select “Manage Game and Add-Ons”, scroll down to “Ready to Install.”
